Sindicato dos Químicos

O Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias Plásticas, Químicas e Farmacêuticas de Criciúma e Região foi oficialmente fundado em 5 de junho de 1983. Sua história, no entanto, remonta a 12 de setembro de 1982, quando um grupo de trabalhadores do setor se reuniu nas dependências do Centro Social Urbano do Bairro Próspera, em Criciúma.

Atualmente o sindicato tem base territorial em 29 municípios das regiões Carbonífera, Lagunar e do Extremo Sul Catarinense, contando com mais de 12 mil trabalhadores. Deste total, aproximadamente 2,5 mil são associados.
