About Decide For Me
Create any number of lists and fill them with the options you can't decide between. You can easily select or deselect certain items to set the "pool" of options that "Decide For Me" will use for it's next decision.
Additional fields - Phone numbers and Websites:
When creating new items you have the option to add a phone number and/or website. When a decision is made, if a phone number and/or website has been set to that record, you will be able to initiate a call or open the website from inside the app.
I find these two features useful as I buy my dinner out a lot. I have a "Dinner" list with all the places I often go to - on any given night I can easily select the places I feel like, and "Decide For Me" will only pick from the options I have selected, if I have a phone number listed for that place then I can initiate a call from the inside the app.
You can share your lists between your friends/flatmates/whoever. "Send list" will send a plain text message to whoever you decide with all the details of that list. They can then copy that message and past it into the "Import" feature. It will create the list with all of it's items, phone number, websites, and current selections.
Instructions on use:
1) Click "create new list".
2) Choose a name for the list.
3) Decide if this list is going to need phone numbers and/or websites added to the items (this can be changed at any time by "editing" the list).
4) Open list.
5) Start adding items (these can also be edited at any time).
6) Select the items you want in the "pool".
7) "Decide for me"!
I just made this app because none of the other "decision" apps I saw had the ability to easily set a "pool" of options and myself and my flatmates wanted something for (primarily) deciding on dinner.
I only have 2 phones to test on, so please let me know if you find any bugs, and I'll do my best to fix them.
I know the import/export feature isn't pretty, but sending a plain text message felt like the easiest way to transfer this data without having to save a file on your (or their) device.
If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
