If you're serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you'll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups!

Think there's no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achieve this goal!

No doubt some of you can already do 50 consecutive push ups, but let's face it, you're in a big minority. Most of you reading this won't even be able to manage 20 pushups. Actually, I'm sure many of you can't even do 10.

However, it really doesn't matter which group you fall into. If you follow the progressive push ups training program, I'm positive you'll soon be able to do 100 push ups!

Don't be fooled by the impostors. This is the OFFICIAL, ORIGINAL AND SANCTIONED Android Application of the Hundred Pushups Program

The day-to-day increase ratio is a joke. It's like a running app that tells you to do 5k on Monday, 10k on Wednesday and half a marathon on Friday. If you're happy to reset quite often, then the app works well.

K70%
by K####:

The setup required me to do a number of pushups to customize my workout. Then I started day one immediately and I shouldn't have. I was already too tired to do it so my count was low. The app should have informed me to skip a day to recuperate a little. It should also notify me of the days I should be working out.

X70%
by X####:

App interface and idea are ok, but it doesn't match the programme precisely; only one schedule for weeks 3&4 unlike the website where there are 3 different options depending on your test.

R70%
by R####:

I used this app on my iPhone. But I don't like it for android. It has know reminder with my Google calendar.

Q70%
by Q####:

It would be better if the Facebook and twitter update buttons worked instead of crashing the app. Otherwise fantastic app.

D70%
by D####:

This push up doesn't have a lot of fancy features, but it's the only one that doesn't needs intrusive permissions. It does exactly what it promises.

K70%

I once had this app back in 2010 for an ipod it really helped me out specialy with the perfect pushup product that had came out back then i highly recommend it

T70%
by T####:

Does not adjust workout based on your progress. Exercised me to muscle failure every session. Seems little more than a straight line from where you start to the goal. Glad it was free.

W70%
by W####:

Pushes things up to an unacceptable level after week two. Crap!

inaccurate sets, I will try another app

I use this app to increase my push ups for my APFT tests.

Great app! I like how my music continues during alert, thus keeping me in my "workout grove" :) I would only change two things.... --After you finish your brake between sets, it should have an option to select how long the alert occurs... currently the alert is less than 5 seconds, and quieter than any music you may have playing currently. --Backup data to the external SD card. Perhaps it attempts to backup to SD card, yet on my Droid X2, it didn't keep settings after a factory reset/re-install... if the data was save to the external sd card this would be fixed. Specifically please backup user data to /mnt/sdcard-ext/hundredpushupsfree/ Thanks! :)

It is exactly like the program. I read 2 other reviews and obviously they arnt understanding how it works. U have to do ur initial test and it sets you to the program according to how many you can do. Go on the website and actually read it. The negative reviews are inaccurate unless it doesnt open or whatever. Program works amazingly

U70%
by U####:

I used it for the first time tonight, and I know it's going to be great! It assesses you perfectly and work really well.

U70%
by U####:

Did the program three times before finding this app. It's a great way to build stamina, a great workout, Very motivating and easy to use.

V70%
by V####:

The program is good and very helpful. Unfortunately, it never gives a notification BEFORE an exhaustion test needs to be performed. The only warning it gives you is as you're about to start a new week. The online guides suggest this test happen 24-48 hours after your 3rd exercise of the week. The program should remind you after you've completed the 3rd exercise, not immediately before you start a new week.

by V####:

I started at week 3 and was hitting all the goals until week 6. I went from 40 pu's at once to 65. The last week has me doing 45, 55, 35, 30 and 55, the last 3 of which I have to break up.

U70%
by U####:

...lousy for actually getting to 1000 pushups. It's expectations are MUCH to unrealistic jumping up by 25 pushups two days after you barely completed the previous amount. It lets you enter if you came up short on your sets but does not take this information into account when planning your next session. There are better apps out there.

U70%
by U####:

Generally speaking, this is a good app. It us stable and motivates me to train frequently. However, I have two issues with it: 1) if I'm struggling to achieve the totals set, it doesn't try to take me back a week or adjust the targets in the next session. Instead, it continues to raise the target for the next session above a goal that I've already failed to achieve 3 days in a row. 2) you can't change the total that you reached in a set until you complete the whole workout, instead of after each set.

U70%
by U####:

Great app but please sdd an update to add the option to remove a log entry as I entered it by mistake and it is ruining my graph.

U70%
by U####:

I noticed many of the negative reviews were from people who didn't get that the app worked along side with the online program. If you are in the wrong column you have to reset how many pushups you did in the initial test on the app. This should change the column you are in. if you stick to the program and redo your exhaustion test (to adjust the column you are in) every two Weeks you should be fine. the app works perfect. would be nice if it reminded you what day to do workouts and the tests every 2 Weeks

B70%
by B####:

great app, but very basic. if you remember to do the pushups you're all set with this app. it will lead you through the exercise. however, i doesn't have ability to raise a reminder or alarm to remind to do the exercises. this is quite critical. hence only 3 stars from me. this would add a lot more complexity, but the app should also track days between exercises. the app should augment the number of pushups to do based on days since last exercise (for example, if i skipped exercising for a month, not only am i not ready to move onto next level, i probably need to go a few levels back)

U70%
by U####:

Good program but my rest time keeps going up every day. Right now I'm resting about 120 seconds between sets. WTF?

U70%
by U####:

Great app extremely impressed with it. Easier than using laptop. Well worth a download.

D70%
by D####:

Started to reuse this app after couple of years. It works wonders to get back into shape.

M70%
by M####:

If I'm doing a free weights workout, I wouldn't increase the weight after every workout, because that would be stupid. Similarly I wouldn't increase the mileage I'd run after every work out because clearly, if I started at 1 mile it would be unrealistic for me to ad a half to a full mile each workout, as this would mean I'd be over 200 miles by years end. While one of the better pushup apps I've tried, any rep increase should happen over a reasonable amount of time without appearing as though your slacking.

S70%
by S####:

I couldn't complete the last 2 sets but it still jacks up the number of pushups for the next day by 1 to 5 per set. Makes no sense. It should drop you down to the lower column or compensate somehow.

U70%
by U####:

It always has me go on column two online but i need column 3's sets

U70%
by U####:

The app is really great and makes it fairly easy to follow the program. Interface makes it easy to use!

C70%
by C####:

Twitter and Facebook sharing don't work. Attempting to share via Twitter crashes the app and Facebook generates an error that the app is not configured correctly. Otherwise works well for following the program.

T70%
by T####:

I like the actual app but I really wish the FB connection worked.

U70%
by U####:

Ive used this program online since middle school and have checked every week since for the app on android. I am pleased with the quality.

R70%
by R####:

The app is great far exceeded my expectations. I love how it has your routine mapped out from the number of sets, reps, even a countdown for your resting period. Great app would recommend it to anyone looking for a good way to start your morning

U70%
by U####:

If the app had reminders to help you remember to do the push-ups, and a view of what your next day or week workout looks like, I would give it 5 stars.

Q70%
by Q####:

Small in size, does what you expect, and best of all, does not require any Other permission on your phone

I70%
by I####:

I used the iPhone version for over a year, but this Android version is a very poor copy. It lacks many of the features and is far less usable. I will look for something else on android.

T70%
by T####:

It's good, but as others have suggested an alarm or reminder function would make it perfect.

K70%
by K####:

Why can I choose the week and day but not the column like on the website? The app sadly always use column 2 and I always train on column 3.

U70%
by U####:

I've been using this for a few weeks and I've kept up with the progression. The Facebook/Twitter posting part of the app doesn't work on my phone. Also, if you don't meet your reps it doesn't list the target reps for each set when it asks if you met all goals. Hard to remember what you missed when you are tired and you have 5 blank spaces to fill.
