I would add an option to use the front camera for traffic stops where it can be difficult to tell what's in the shot, and an option to remove the constant notification that "witness mode is on." I know, I don't need the notification anymore. Excellent app in other respects, though. This is a valuable tool for police accountability.

First off: I love what the ACLU is trying to do here; accountability is key for any free society and abuse of power has become too common. However, while video backups are a great way to present the destruction of evidence, they *really* should be done via a live stream. By waiting until the witness actively selects "Stop Recording" to upload the video, you leave open the ability for any malicious acter to grab the phone and destroy it before it ever has a chance to upload the video.

I love the ability to gathter more witnesses. I wish the screen would go dark so I can film discreetly. Does the app save the video to a secret file on the phone? What if an officer takes the phone and removes the battery?

S70%
by S####:

Never really needed to report officers in my area. In case I go to VA or elsewhere, do I need to download the VA app as well or everything can be used on my MD app no matter where I go?
