It's nice to have it on my phone so that I have it when I need it, but I often have to use my battery saver app to disable it due to resource consumption. The resource consumption of this app should reflect it's emergency nature.

I am so very glad that this is available to the public; it brings Freedom of Speech and the Press into the 21st Century! Systemic accountability will not only protect our civil rights, but ultimately improve the working conditions and safety of the vast majority of good officers.

This is an excellent way to protect yourself and others against over-policing/police brutality, and give specific information to the ACLU to determine if racial profiling is happening in the area. This app allows your camera on your phone to record the entire interactions with the police at the touch of the app, and the video is uploaded to the ACLU's cloud when filming is complete. Once the app is started, stopping it uploads the video to the ACLU, so if a police officer takes your phone and turns it off, it will be clear that s/he is taking it, and the video is safe. It also lets you know about police activity nearby (if anyone else is using this app and turns it on), and lets you know about your rights. You can opt for complete anonymity, or give the ACLU info like your name, number and email address they need to follow up with you about your police encounter. Everyone should be using this app.

Works well would be nice if I could swap to my front camera instead. This would make it easier to record an incident when pulled over
