AntiVirus PRO Android Security

The app seems to ping me suggestions to download other AVG apps several times a day. It's overkill. I paid for an effective and discreet antivirus app for my phone. What I now have is something that seems insistent on taking centre stage. I don't want to go in and configure it every day, or download four or five other apps after having already paid. Will be uninstalling and seeking something more discreet which doesn't endlessly prompt you to download more of its products.

I have been using AVG on my home computer and now on all my mobile devices for over 8 years and it is the least intrusive, yet most effective live protection. Completely trumping the other well known and more popular Antivirus programs. There has yet to be a threat of any kind that it did not detect prior to causing an infection which is more than I can say for Norton, McAfee, or Avast. I highly recommend upgrading to the pro version if you actually care to use this app effectively.

I have paid for this App and yet it keeps trying to sell me VPN, Cleaner, Gallery etc. Come on. Leave the paid users alone. Play the role of a decent Antivirus, we will refer your App to friends and family. Since your App has become an ad Billboard for other Apps from you guys, there's no internet to refer. Looking to switch to other Apps. Because it's not good experience anymore. Show as many ads you want to free users. But please change the way the App is now for paid users.

I find this app to be very trustworthy, and it protects my phone, but when I purchased this app, it didn't say it was for 2016, 2017, or 2018! I have also noticed that this antivirus app does not, I repeat does not do, or update on a regular basis!?!? There are new viruses that come out every single day! I do not see this app do updates on their database that I know of? I have also noticed that my purchased AVG Antivirus AppLock, and cleaner does not look exactly the same as it looks on the submitted screenshots that are shown in the Play Store?!?!? I will admit that I have been using this app for years now, and I have not had any issues that I know of, but I have noticed that my phone is slowing down!?!? I do make sure that I close all of the apps that are running in the background, but I seem to still have this problem? Please do more updates to the virus database in this app, and I will go back to 5 Stars again! :-) I did pay decent money for this app, and I shouldn't have to sit here, and question is the app is doing its job or not!?!? This app has become more intrusive recently. Try to turn off 15 of the different notifications it now generates and 2 new ones pop up. App wants to control how you manage your phone when it's low on battery, when it's charging, number of apps you run, etc. It's great to have system efficiency options, but these are aggressively thrust at the user. Hope trend reverses because I used to love this thing when it was relatively silent and effective.

Love the app, but the widget now just opens up the app (task killer) and takes over the whole screen, very in your face... Used to run in the back ground. Please bring that function back. There is way too many functions going on. You can't let them run successfully in the background and then get notified it's complete. The old UI was better and not as slow.

Easy to use. Very robust. A ton of features for the money and unlimited installs across my and my family's devices. Ive tried a good number of other security apps and while many are very good, none of them give me everything AVG does. Couldn't be happier.

Great app this was my first antivirus software , it does what it's supposed to and has clean organized layout would recommend. But currently there is a notification in the app for harmful apps and it just keeps showing even though I want it to turned on please fix

The resigned app seems more like an advertising platform than an antivirus app. I should not need to install multiple services with advertisements​. This is a pro version of this app and should be treated as such. I paid for this as one time purchase, it should not include obnoxious ads. This is a poorly designed and incomplete experience.

Not happy after the last update. With the pin security to open apps on your phone I keep getting pin requests constantly after I already entered the correct pin upon opening the app. This is really annoying as your constantly interrupted for pin requests all the time!!!

So far so good outperforms my expectations. Purchased the pro antivirus after visiting naughty sights and cannot completely make my phone invisible but just have to press back button once to stop redirection websites when using Waze.

Very good application. Happy to find the implementation of fingerprint option to unlock protected apps following my proposal! For last, most of the updates disable the App Locking. Kind of security violation. I think it must retain as it was prior to the update.

I've trusted AVG for years, from my PCs and now my Androids. A household name antivirus who doesn't milk a user for subscriptions. Recently upgraded to a Note 8, and when the app says it has cleared the clipboard, it hasn't. Opening the clipboard from the Android keyboard reveals that the app is incorrect and the content is still there. Edit: Thanks for the info. The prompt is still a good reminder that I need to clear the rest myself. Amended my rating.

Would really recommend to not get this app. Paid £6 for this app a while back recently got a virus on my phone and was undetected by avg yet a free app (hi security) found it on first scsn and removed disappointed and woukd like my money back!

I think it is working superbly. Actually general people like me do not know whether it works or not. As long as our phone works or software is not corrupted, then it is fine. Till now My phone is working fine. Please add video hide feature in the Pro version please. At least add video vault like photo vault.

I'm old and do not know much about computers. One thing I do know though is that this app is the best app I ever bought. My tablets and phone zoom now. I did not realize they could move so quickly when ever you click on something. This is the best money ive spent on an app. Thank you. JB Amburgey

Locked few apps so no one can see your personal stuff while using your mobile. But every time app turn off that locked option automatically. Means no privacy. Its useless that pro version have these issues.

I'm a faithful customer for many years but I am Downgrading this most recent version to 3 stars. App locking feature often isn't actively operating. I will look to another anti-virus application company if this continues.

Really good app! Only thing is the app lock function is a bit glitchy at the mo. First it turns itself off from time to time and secondly it hasn't been working for a couple apps even when it is on today. Please help?

App lock in AVG get disabled automatically need enable it everyday can you do something to fix it?. It's very annoying. This app lock issue started after installing recent updates.

I have had AVG for years, and it works soo much more effecient than most other programs. It's great too see them expand to the mobile platform. The problem with the newest updqte, is the App Lock, it won't lock the app on every use. Flr example, I have Messenver pockex, but after the first use, AVG won't lock it up again.

It is a great Anti-Virus, but even though the immediate adds are removed for the ANTIVIRUS portion, the rest of the program is FULL of push adds and this program ONLY does ANTIVIRUS without adds everything else is add riddled. I bought it and now am regretting in majorly. Wish I could get my money back.

Great product for a good price. Up selling is a major issue...people hate it...and with avg both pc and Android it tends to be a consistently bad policy. I have three Google accounts and I also need to pay for three pro versions...or get the phone slowed by adverts as junk mail. I should be able to declare a set of accounts and pay once.

Since the big upgrade several problems have arisen. The app backup feature has disappeared... Why? Chrome protection won't stay activated despite being repeatedly enabled..... App lock works sporadically and seemingly arbitrarily. I really like the new UI, but it's not functioning as it should.

Very good protection, lots of features. The only feature I don't like is the RAM boost. It kills everything even apps I want to always run like ACR, Textra, and Google Voice. A phone restart is better in my opinion.

Started off well, now confusing versions and interfaces across all devices. Constant adverts and even payment requests for already paid products. Uninstalling for now but hoping for a simpler hassle free version in the future. Good luck team.

The only problem I have is that every couple weeks the App Lock function turns itself off and I have to go in and re-enable it manually. I think it might coincide with updating the app, but I'm not sure. Either way I would like a way to keep it enabled permanently if possible.

Was all good did the job very well. No, not so good. Core functions seem to be ok. But, a dialogue but appears at random telling me about notifications. Also the vault is not showing the pics correctly. Doubling up and when you select one the wrong pick comes. It's a bloody lucky dip. Also what is the point of app lock if you unlock an app, thereafter all apps are unlocked, pointless/uneless security. Please fix.

Easy to install and use, and a small price to pay to protect so much. Hackers are real, protect your pocket computer, I mean phone. One way or the other you need to protect your phone just as much or more as you need to have antivirus on your PC or Mac, or suffer the consequences. This app does the trick nicely.

Straight forward and easy to use. No annoying pop-ups trying to get you to buy extra/use more features, light on notifications which is nice. Installed on brand new phone a few months ago and have not had any virus or other issues. (Samsung Note 8)

Couldn't find a better antivirus in years. Using AVG more than 10 years. It's reliable, now blocking spam phone numbers, make your life easier. Happy I bought PRO version.

ZEN app doesn't work all the way as it should. Somehow it doesn't integrate all AVG services too well and won't recognize my subscription or somehow I have multiple subscriptions for the same app , one is 1 year and the other 2 subscription. Still when it works it works great but it has some major quarks.

I have been using this app for a while now and have happy until recently, notifications about other apps from Avg started popping up and I ended up buying another app just to get rid of annoying notification. I switched to BlackBerry motion and app lock function is not working. Please fix it. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

I have paid for this app even though I'm not getting it's full facility as promised before paying. This is creating the customer. Also the worse thing it refers to install other app for cleaning. Then what is this app doing in the phone. Friends be careful don't pay even a single penny.

Why only Android versions "older than 6.0" support real time Web browsing protection? When will V6.0 or newer versions be supported? Or do you mean Chrome v6xx? Really unclear!

I have AVG Antivirus Pro on four mobile phones in our house and we've been very satisfied with the protection. I've used other programs and been hacked - never again! ALWAYS USE AVG PRO!

Why is it that I can set my app lock function only to realize that not much long after the Function is not active?? I keep having to reset it and its Frustrating. How do I fix this? Would give 5 stars..

I am satisfied with avg free before decided to buy avg pro several days ago but when I go to avg website it says that I don't have any subscription to any of its product. What should I do to fix this or am I getting refund or what. [Edit 3rd Nov 2017] Update the app. Have trouble finding app backup option. The new interface was not so user friendly IMO. Hope it will be fixed in the next update

The more things I started doing on the phone, the nervous I got about security - User ID's, passwords, account numbers, credit card info, etc. I downloaded the free version but then quickly upgraded to Pro. The features of being able to remotely erase data, contacts, disable the phone or lock it really appealed to me. Being able to reset the phone to like it was new & after 3 failed unlocking attempts a picture of the user would be emailed to me gave me peace of mind. What more could you ask for?

Always will be the best virus program out there. On every phone and tablet I've ever had,do have,and will get.my rating will never change 10 stars 24-7 keep up the great work....
