About Birthdays into Calendar (Free)
Description
Shows birthdays, anniversaries, and other dates from your contacts as events in your favorite calendar app. It supports all calendar apps available for Android, such as Google Calendar, Samsung Calendar, HTC Calendar, and other calendar apps which can be installed via Google Play.
To my knowledge, this is the only app providing your contacts' birthdays as events displayed in a calendar app of your choice. Other birthday apps do not integrate with Android's calendar database!
This is the free version of Birthday Calendar.
This version contains every feature of the full version, except reminders. It is ad-free and does not require Internet access.
Known bugs
• Reminder do not work correctly on Android 2.3
• Devices with Android 4.1 and all version of Samsung Galaxy S4 have a bug which causes Birthday Adapter to disable after reboots. Please install additionally:

My phone is Lava iris with android 4.4. This app. Account filter, is showing only ' whatsapp' whereas I am having my details in my contacts. The calander also shows nothing after sync.

No need to sync contacts, I can't believe why the Google calendar app will not directly read from the PHONE's contacts as this is the normal direct way if nothing is set up with the cloud (as it was billions of years before on every normal phone!!!)

It is not that I hate the app. I uninstalled it minutes after the purchase cause it does not work on my phone. There is no option to add or edit any birthday. I don't understand the instruction to make symbols for a name and then other symbols for the date. Very confusing

I use Outlook for my contacts and Business Calender. Both of these have always been inconsistent, either missing out contacts or showing multiples. This has been the first time all my birthdays have been shown and once only. I was confident enough to turn off all other calender views. Thxs I'm buying the full version.

Excellent! Just what I wanted. For birthdays, I prefer to use my phone calendar and the Backup Assistant, rather than a server account. This app gives me exactly what I need. Let the contacts be the source for birthdays and anniversaries, and then show them on the phone calendar (via DigiCal+ BTW).

After upgrade to Android 4.3 all birthdays disappeared from my calendar even when "Calendars to display > My calendar + Birthdays" were ticket. Cleaning calendar cache didn't help either. But this app solved that issue. Many thanks!

I love this calendar. It never let's me forget a birthday. The only problem I have is that there are duplicates. How do I remove them?
