La Conferencia Regional sobre Desarrollo Social de América Latina y el Caribe es organizada por la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del Perú (MRE), el Ministerio de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social del Perú (MIDIS) y Programas de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD).

Durante el encuentro, al que asistirán autoridades sociales de la región, se presentará el documento Desarrollo social inclusivo: una nueva generación de políticas para superar la pobreza y la desigualdad en América Latina y el Caribe, que analizará los avances y desafíos experimentados en el período reciente, en relación con la superación de la pobreza y la reducción de la desigualdad. Asimismo, se enfatizará el tema de la institucionalidad para el desarrollo social y se ofrecerán sugerencias para el fortalecimiento de las políticas en esa área.

The Regional Conference on Social Development in Latin America and the Caribbean is organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru (MRE), the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion of Peru (MIDIS ) and the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP).

A new generation of policies to overcome poverty and inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean, which will review the progress and challenges experienced in the period: During the meeting, attended by social authorities in the region, the document will be presented inclusive social development recently, in relation to overcoming poverty and reducing inequality. Also, the issue of institutions for social development and suggestions for strengthening policies in this area will be offered will be emphasized.
