I was looking for an alternative for guitar pro and this little tux was exactly what I needed. Although, I don't know if it's tux or not, but woith a 60 bpm video in the background and 60 set in tux, I really can't get the notes to click. Something is odd and off. Maybe some .5 values for the tempo would help? XD
I love the app, and I have the program on my pc. The one thing that bothers me is that when I load a song, the beat (drums) isn't consistent. It will slow down then skip a bit to catch up and it messes with the song.
I am a fan of Tuxguitar as the best open source guitar software ever. This is a decent first port to android although it has a lot of bugs. Cannot access storage is one I guess it's a problem with the app file explorer, the app will keep flickering and will eventually crash your devise. There are many important features that disappeared like the repeat. Also sometimes the left drawer menu will stop functioning. Update 06-2-2016: the problems I was talking about of the flickering when trying to open a file have been fixed.
I am unable to figure out how to switch between tracks while composing??!! help please! :) BTW great app. lots of features as compared to guitar pro android app which I had bought recently. Wish I had found this earlier
This app has major potential, but it's a little tricky to use because the interface isn't very logical. Either that, or it is just missing essential items - Can't change the tuning for the tab, can't find help, and a share option might be nice so that I could ship my tabs to other band members. Also, I just wrote a nice big tab on my first time sitting down to play with it. Took awhile because of the design, and now I can't seem to save it. This could be an amazing app, but until I can save my work...
I wanted to play a song since I first started playing guitar and it was hard for me. Later, I found this app which is the best tab player and it played the songs very easily. Thanx alot for creating this app.
Love tuxguitar glad it's ported. Im having alot of trouble doing simple things on it though. I can add a bunch of instruments in one track but I can only have one track???? please fix.
THE HELL DO I COPY AND PASTE WHAT IS THIS I MEAN I DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO BE EXACTLY LIKE ON PC BUT COME ON I WRITE LIKE 7-10 MINUTE SONGS ON THE REG I NEED COPYPASTA PLS
I have one question. How can I do pick-up measures in the app? I don't seem to be able to find it. Can someone explain to me?
The only free app for reading tablature, but still needs work, the interface is old-fashioned (not one the retro way) and it's a bit sluggish
It's simple but perfect. It's here whenever i need it to write some part in a rush. I just hope i can instantly store my writings into Google Drive right from the app. Just to be neat.
That's all. This is the best partitures-tabs ever. Windows, Ubuntu or Android, it doesn't matter the os. This little guy does what is meant to do in the most efficient way.
Processing suddenly comes out making me close the app
Where has this app been? I have been looking for this app for a few years now. I thought I was going to have to learn how to design apps to get one like this one.
He'll yeah! It's about time.
I have come on leaps and bounds thanks to tux guitar shame about the adds
Is there a away to view all the tracks being played at once?
Is there any way you can fix the sound
The application works fine and it really does che job. The problem is that the drums get out of sync during the song, the tempo gets really messed up.
IDK why but the sound files are scratchy and broken to the point that they aren't even notes and IDK why . I've never had this problem before, please help
Epic free stuff
Love tuxguitar glad it's ported. I can't seem to save anything though. Also the fretboard option would be nice
Been looking for this for so long, creating/editing song ideas on-the-fly. If possible, could you work on improving it to handle multiple instruments better. At times, with only 2 instruments playing, I get distorted audio, resulting in more noise rather than notes being played. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful for the application, but this fix would take it to a whole other level. My device is a Samsung S5, if you need to know, for testing. Well done again!!
It's Tuxguitar mobile! Thank you very much!
I'm a big user of TuxGuitar on PC, even Linux, so v. happy that this exists. Impressive how so many editing features have been included. Playback usually gets very out of sync and jittery after playing about 20 measures, especially in songs with a lot of notes (try Buttersnips by Periphery), but the same problem with other tablature apps, even on a quad core. Would also be nice to have a way of jumping back to measure 1 (or "go to measure x"), loop playback, speed training.
Cannot access storage :0
I can't remove a note, which is kinda stupid... Can't change instrument in a track although the option is there... All I found until now but in overall it's really not that bad, except I wouldn't recommend making a tab or editing it unless you're positively sure that what you are punching in is right
