I have been using XBMC/Kodi since I built my PC way back in 2009. I didn't know about this remote since I didn't own a smartphone till last year. I use Logitech wireless touch keyboard for most of the time. But this app is so handy, like sending YouTube videos from the app to watch on large screen, checking what shows I have and what I watched last. Amazing. Please continue this good work guys. Love your app.

It's a wonderful app...most of the time. I have a local media server that I can stream content to my Kodi player using this app and playing the media is great. The problem occurs when we are trying to queue multiple movies to play for a long period of time. The button used to queue movies is almost place on top of the control to quickly scroll through the list of media. For this reason alone o have to only rate it 3 stars.

I love Kodi and this app as a remote. Im frustrated almost to tears trying to select a video to queue up next and the app keeps thinking Im trying to scroll and is jumping all over the screen. Im actually so irritated by the constant scrolling that I might just buy a wireless mouse to use as remove and forever ban this app from my phone.

Mostly works really well. I don't like the new volume slider though. It's so small it's difficult to adjust. I preferred the buttons. Also the feature that pauses your playback during a phone call will actually unpause it if it's already paused.

by M####:

Almost perfect, very useful and awesome looking.. Yet one thing is missing - I wish there was a way to change the shortcuts on the home screen or at least have a favorites section that I can edit, personally I don't use library integration, so the TV shows etc is useless for me

M70%
by M####:

It used to be awesome, except it could use an on-screen keyboard when searching, but it just stopped working out of the blue. I've done uninstalled/reinstalls on both Kodi and Kore but nothing works. Verified setting, even tried changing port numbers, just doesn't work anymore.

by M####:

App works great but can't set up any new devices because test connection always fails even on devices that work. (I backup my settings and copy them to new phones/tablets such as my gfs to get my existing Kodi installations working on new control devices but as the app is I can't set up any new ones in Kore). So as it is now it's pretty useless when I move my devices to new networks because the ip changes and I can't save the new settings in Kore. Fix that and it's 5 stars again. Send text to device doesn't work at all. Should be fixed or the option removed from Kore. Thanks.

This is an absolutely wonderful addition to the Kodi Media Center. Although, since I don't know how to submit suggestions directly to the developers, I'm going to suggest here. It would be nice to have a feature to 'play next episode' feature in the 'now watching' section of the remote, without having to 'create a Playlist' or 'add to queue'... if I'm being too lazy feel free to shoot me down... I only just thought of it.

This buggy app just screams pre-alpha to me. Often times on in the middle of moving down a menu the remote will stop functioning, and I'll have to close and reopen the app to get it working again. No quality control or thought of any kind went into making this a functional and usable remote control app. It's free and worth every penny. Wish I could give it negative stars

M70%
by M####:

Great app. It works good, but sometimes it disconnects from WiFi and won't automatically find the new address, and you need to manually update the IP address again. Also, the app won't wake up the Android TV Box when it goes into screen save mode (clock/date screen)

I really want to use this, but poor design choices and bugs are making it more of a pain than just using a remote or controller. :( Kodi 16.1 Main Issue / Bug: - "Remote" function does not work if I open a video from the add-on view. I have to quit the app and restart it to get the remote working again. Suggestions: - When drilling down into an add-on, show "content" tab first. nobody cares about the add-on overview. - When navigating an add-on, my phone's "back" button should take me back one page instead of backing me all the way out to the add-on list. - A better way to quickly navigate add-ons upon startup would be nice. I'd like to be able to at least navigate favorite add-ons from the drop-down menu to eliminate the extra click.

Absolutely Terrible. Setting up kore is a nightmare and usually won't work. I can only use this app with my laptop since this piece of s**t won't connect to anything. Don't waste your time with this garbage.

I have been trying for a week to get this to work again. It worked great and I loved it, then I had to reinstall Kodi because of problems I had, and now Kore doesn't want to work on my device. Edit: I have uninstalled and reinstalled both, followed every instruction, and ensured they are on the same network. Not sure why I am having so much difficulty at all. And the wiki you guys have doesn't go into common problems or faqs, really anything to help.

I70%

Faulty. It keeps losing the connection to the TV. The TV is connected via Ethernet and the phone via WiFi but they're on the same network. I hope that info is helpful.

This is a great app. I use it all the time. I do have two suggestions. Could you add the favorites shortcut on the side menu, and could you return the two buttons for volume up/down, the slider is cool but its hard to set the right volume, specialy on a smaller phone. Great work guys!

Y70%
by Y####:

I love it very much it helps me a lot, but I would suggest that instead of using the phone as a remote maybe load up the links on the phone's screen and then let the phone send the signal with the one you choose or at least let it be an option if possible in the future

M70%
by M####:

Excellent app. The "Pause during phone call" function doesn't always work or when already paused it begins playing.

M70%
by M####:

I'm extremely disappointed with this app and will be uninstalling it. I was extremely excited to see that there was a remote app for Kodi since the controls they have are very limited and in order to 'rewind' or 'fast forward' you have to swype the screen and it takes you to predetermined spots, making it difficult to find the exact spot you want. Maybe it's just my ignorance and laziness, but I assumed that this was a remote that would work on the Kodi app and not an entirely different app that ran Kodi on it. I only use Kodi to strem TV and movies via 3rd party add on's and for whatever reason this app doesn't allow me to use the add on's. I'm extremely disappointed (since I was sooo excited about having a remote for Kodi) and really annoyed that I wasted time setting it up.

M70%
by M####:

The app was a lot better than I thought but .. It could use a couple extras like *Play next episode button *A keyboard so its on the phone screen *The option to put it on your lock screen Other than that the remote is perfect. Will rate 5 stars when and if changes are made.

M70%
by M####:

Why have you changed the app package, now any of my Icon Packs are broken. :(

P70%

Crap doesn't work. I've tried configurating this thing like 20 times. I even manually input everything..still can't find anything..don't download this.

M70%

Lacks upnp server for sending media from the device running this app to kodi and remote controls are a small for me and require much precision.

M70%
by M####:

This is a great app to stream content from my phone to my raspberry Pi running Kodi. I use it all the time to watch YouTube videos on my TV. I just wish there was a way to add videos to a playlist through the the share button. Yatse is able to do this quite well. Instead, the app opens automatically and I have to go back to YouTube and add the next video every time.

M70%
by M####:

It worked great up until the most recent update, now it thinks my device does not exist.. making it useless.

M70%
by M####:

Bug: doesn't play right song that I select from music. But plays correct song when I select one from playlist.

Great app until update to newest Kodi. Now most buttons and functions no longer work. Update app so we can use it again.

T70%

It stopped working with kodi 17 before that I loved it. Any idea when they will update it?

M70%
by M####:

What is wrong with the app? It isn't working at all, it doesn't even open up, what is going on?

M70%

Good. But better with keyboard on phone screen. It's really difficult to type on TV screen keyboard!

it would have been nice if this app could be interfaced by Android wear, controlling the kodi using your watch, awesome! you should work on that...
