I really love this app, I use it all the time and it works wonderfully with defintions, pronounciation and even a conjugation chart. Yes, the word pronounciations require a network connection, but that's really not a deal breaker for me. My only big issue is that this app is missing a bunch of common words (reread?) and it doesn't give you the option to add them yourself. Please add this feature and the app will be perfect!

One word I've come across has a misprint: doué comes out as pnted and I can only think this should be gifted. It comes up several times. Please check and amend Many thanks. 24.01.16 New comment: I'm now using this app on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and I cannot find the History button. Where is it? 18/10/16 Still no History or Favourites button: please add these now!

No menu visible at the bottom: it is below the screen on the Samsung s7! It has come back for a very short while after an update, then gone again. I tried to reinstall: no effect. Thus no possibility of reviewing favorites selected words for exemple:( and it is while now I am complaining about this: no effect!!! Sad

Functionality is good on phone, limited on tablet. Would greatly benefit from expansion of lexicon. Developer unresponsive. This works for a basic dictionary, I wish they would expand it to a more complete version (and would pay for such increased usability!)

Z70%
by Z####:

Fantastic. So easy to use. Love the verbs conjugations too. Using it while reading French novels: much easier than using a paper dictionary. Definitions you can trust and much more detailed too. Worth paying for. I don't use the pronunciation part but fun to click on sometimes.

Z70%
by Z####:

Very quick to load/open, easy to use, it gives many useful examples and is far more helpful than other free dictionaries I tried before it. For it's development I would recommend the publishers add more "argots" or slang as I've found it hard to work out the comments in certain films. An increased number of synonyms and idioms would be a bonus.

Since 2014 and almost arriving to 2016 you have not made an update of this aplication and bugs and crashes killing us. Thanks for wasting my money.

Love this app, I've been using it for years now, first with my iPhone and now with my Android as well. One thing that would be really great though, is if the android version had the option to sort your bookmarks alphabetically like it does on iOS. That was a super helpful feature on iPhones, and would love to see that on Android too!

First off, the content of the dictionary is first rate and it is worth paying for. However, the app has clearly not been updated or tested with new devices for some time. On my phone (Android 4.4.2) it works fine, but on my tablet (Android 6.0.1) which does not have a menu button, the menu is not accessible, which means that the history and bookmarks features are not available.

Z70%
by Z####:

I find the dictionary useful but not as much as I hoped. I'm disappointed that there is no additional information on the search term, like synonyms in the source language. I'm disappointed also with the search function, which is too simple-minded - even a blank space entered by mistake in the search box will break the search - not to speak of searching for words which are "close" (i.e. tolerance for spelling mistakes). Finally I would have appreciated a possibility to jump to the translation of a word by clicking it (i.e. I see an English word in the text and I want to see how it's translated into French, or vice versa). A last small imporvement I'd like to see would be that if I close the app and reopen it I will see the screen where I left.

Really frustrating bug. On new S7 there is no menu at the bottom, you can only search. They need to fix this ASAP!!

Z70%
by Z####:

One of the best dictionary I have found that is comprehensive and give context. The interface is basic and a few desirable options are missing like to download an offline copy of the pronunciation (only the text is available offline). On the other hand this app is very reactive on low end phone.

N70%
by N####:

Good app if you look for full offline dictionnary. It doesn't require connection to work. However the updates are very rare.

Z70%

It will be perfect, if i can back up my favourite words and those words can be restored when i change the phone. Thanks

Peut être une bonne application du point de vue d'un anglophone, assez médiocre pour un francophone. Lente au démarrage, plusieurs étapes pour accéder à la traduction et ergonomie modeste, vocabulaire limité, traductions simplistes. Cette app doit être tirée sans doute de ces micro dictionnaires de poche que vendait Larousse à un époque. Bien trop cher pour le service rendu. Voyez du côté des gratuits.

Really good app for the wannabe French speaker. Conjugation tables very useful. Would have got 5 if the bookmarks were more easily accessible

Q70%
by Q####:

It's really a great app but it could be even better if there were a way to actually quiz yourself (i.e. flashcards) over words that you have bookmarked so you can easily review them instead of scrolling through the haphazard list. It also would help in that you wouldn't have to spend have your reviewing time having to scroll from the beginning every time you go back from a word and try to find the place where you were.

Head and shoulders above the rest. Each word presented in a variety of idiomatic contexts (see screenshots) without which you're flying blind or speaking Franglais. Quibbles about implementation far outweighed by quality of the content. Full conjugation of each and every verb; you won't need a Bescherelle with this in your pocket.

Le dico est assez complet au niveau du contenu, mais il n'y a clairement plus de suivit de la part des développeurs. Il ne fonctionne plus sur Android 6 au niveau des fonctions favoris et historique.dommage surtout quand je vois les petites merveilles Larousse qui existent sur iOS!

The favourite browsing is no longer accessible using the new android phone. As there is no menu bottom on the phone. Can not see any of my old favourite words for revision

Very useful, but will be much better if it has setting for font size cause the characters are so tiny. Also if the audio could be offline, then you could step up your price. Please update.

I use this dictionary all the time, but I have come across the odd error or omission (eg translation of "kerb").

Best dictionary out there but I wish you could search for non infinitive forms of the verb. As a learn of French, sometimes I'm not sure what the infinitive is if it's very irregular looking.

Fantastic app. Use it all the time. The history and favourites are terrific for revision. Suggestion: Please add option to save history and favourites to another location. Even though the file size would be huge I would love to be able to have audio available offline.

La fonctionnalité de retrouver les mots cochés ✔ a disparu .

This app did wonders for my vocabulary when I lived in France and used it on an iPhone. However, the Android version is a bit clunky and most importantly misses the buttons when browsing history that made revision so easy on an iPhone. Please include them on the next version.

X70%

I'm using it all the time as I learn French. I really like being able to hear the words spoken, but the sound is sometimes glitchy and takes a few seconds to load (leaving you wondering if you need to try again). Sometimes it's not loading at all. I wish there was some (discrete) indication that the sound is loading at the instant you press the sound button.

Good dictionary , but unfortunately for review my bookmarks after "each back" it jumps to the beginning of the list and i have to scroll again!
