Aplikacja podaje lokalizacje GPS (dokładność kilku, kilkudziesięciu metrów) lub (w przypadku kiedy sygnał GPS jest zbyt słaby) lokalizacje z nadajników sieci komórkowych (dokładność kilkudziesięciu, kilkuset metrów). Następnie współrzędne (liczby) są zamienianie na możliwie najdokładniejszy dostępny adres czytelny dla człowieka. Adres jest z kolei wysyłany smsem na podany nr telefonu (najczęściej jest to nr telefonu na, na którym aplikacja jest zainstalowana).

Zastosowanie aplikacji to podanie adresu gdzie się aktualnie znajdujemy, choćby po to by zamówić taksówkę, przy czym adres jest od razu wpisany do telefony jako sms, który możemy przesłać dalej.

Możemy też w ten sposób określić i przechować adresy, które odwiedzaliśmy. Fakt, że będą to smsy z godziną i datą przysłania będzie dodatkowo dokumentacją odwiedzonych miejsc.

Zaletą jest fakt, że nie musimy uruchamiać całej mapy co wymaga sporego transferu danych oraz większego zapotrzebowania na energię.

Aplikacja została wyposażona w mechanizm umożliwiający lokalizacje telefonu przez wysłanie smsa z innego telefonu. Sms z wpisaną odpowiednią wiadomością (fabrycznie jest to wiadomość „gdzie jestes?” (bez cudzysłowów) uruchamia proces lokalizacji i wysyła zwrotnie sms z adresem.

Zastosowaniem takiej aplikacji jest możliwość zlokalizowania np. swojego dziecka, partnera, pracownika.

Aplikacja umożliwia użytkownikowi zdecydowanie czy pozwolimy na lokalizowanie innym numerom telefonów oraz podanie jakie numery telefonów mogą korzystać z tej usługi.
