How does SpyCollar.com check the location of my device?
This application allows you to research and save in the memory of the device the location data (GPS points, GSM, Wi-Fi) in which this device was located. This means that you can control device position with use of the installed application and create a back up copy of the data on the device. You can check its current position, or view the history (the points on the way or the road traveled).
An application with a simple interface enables ongoing monitoring of device coordinates, regardless of where you are. You can use it wherever you are, even if you do not have regular access to the Internet.
SpyCollar operates in two modes:
– Sending position on an ongoing basis
In this option, the application sends the coordinates to the website panel according to the frequency of positioning. Individual positions are marked on the map and you have the possibility to view the history back to 180 days.
When an application sends the data it uses data transmission and therefore it is optimal to have a tariff plan with your GSM operator that includes data transmission option.
The consumption of data transmission is limited
to a minimum – the application uses less than 100MB * per minute when positioning is set.
* indicated amount of consumption does not include data transmission from the device to the server (files, contacts, text messages, call log).
– With access to Wi-Fi networks
The application using the GPS module (which is built in your device) collects data on the location coordinates and stores them in device memory until it is located within range of Wi-Fi networks. Then, using access
to the network it sends the collected data to the server.
This mode of operation is extremely economical
and to use it you do not need to have the possibility of data transmission
on your device.
Moreover, this mode of operation does not require a GSM module, it is enough that the device has a GPS module, and once in a while it is in range of Wi-Fi network!
