I've tried countless other notepad apps. This is the one you want. It has a very intuitive and professional design. It's not bloated with features you'll never use but it still has all the essentials. Among them, you can set the directory where your notes will be saved as .txt files. Importing/Exporting notes is as simple as dragging and dropping to/from your designated folder. With some simple settings for appearance too, it's easy on the eyes.
