Fokus uppgift är att varje vecka sammanfatta, fördjupa och förklara veckans viktigaste händelser. Fokus är en politiskt oberoende tidskrift, utan kopplingar till något parti eller intresseorganisation.

Fokus gräver fram egna nyheter och plockar upp frågorna som hänger sig kvar när mediedrevet dragit fram. Vi ger analysen, fördjupningen och avslöjandena.Varje vecka får du i Fokus det stora reportaget om den viktigaste frågan just nu.

Det kan handla om allt från politik, ekonomi och vetenskap till kultur trender och hälsa. Här finner du bilderna, texterna och personerna som förklarar vad som händer och varför – med egna avslöjanden och nya perspektiv.

År 2013 utsågs Fokus till »Årets tidskrift« av branschorganisationen Sveriges Tidskrifter. Tidigare har tidningen även mottagit Publicistklubbens Stora pris »för att ha återskapat ett utrymme i svensk press för det berättande nyhetsreportaget«. Medarbetare i tidningen har fått utnämningar för »Årets journalist«, »Årets krönikör« samt »Årets genombrott«. År 2009 blev Fokus.se »Årets tidskrift – digitala medier«.

In 2013 was appointed the focus to the "Magazine of the Year 'by the Swedish Association of Newspapers. Earlier, the newspaper has also received the National Press Club's Grand Prize "for having once created a space in the Swedish press for the narration news report«. Employees in the newspaper has got nominations for "Journalist of the Year," "Year columnist« and »Net breakthrough". In 2009 Fokus.se »This year's magazine - digital media«.
