About Tikkun Korim תיקון קוראים

Perfect for going over any portion of the Torah reading. Choose a Parsha including double Parshiot and start practicing right away. Makes practicing much easier on the go.

The traditional Tikkun Korim places the 'Chumash' text on the right and the 'Torah' text on the left. This project was made with mobile one handed use on small screened devices in mind, that's why we came up with a simple way to get the most out of the small screen, by simply tapping to remove the Trop and Nikkud.

תיקון קוראים לחמשה חומשי תורה

INSTRUCTIONS:

- Select a Chumash then a Parsha then an Aliya.

- Tap the text to switch from with Nikkud and Trop/Taamim/Simanim to without. And vice versa.

- Tap the back button on the top of the screen to go to the previous menu.

- Tap the grid (four squares) to start from the beginning.

- Quickly switch from one Aliya to the next by tapping the arrows on the top left.

Nice app in general. Mistake shemos 29:27 word מחברתו needs correct punctuation.

Amazing app fast accurate I thing I would change is to put stars where the aliayah ends. But beside that that great app

Missing : shva na /Bach and true Torah layout. Then I will give it 6 stars.

I found this a very great app indeed! Now, if it only implemented the following changes I would gladly spend money on it: 1. as others have mentioned, it needs proper indentation 2. there is no"shva na" indication, ie when the shvah is emphasized. other than that though, this serves as a great tool for review

by D####:

Very useful app, but it doesn't have paragraph breaks (open or closed) where a sefer Torah is required to have them, and it doesn't format songs like שירת הים and האזינו correctly. Fix that, and have it remember your last position, and it'll be just about perfect.

by D####:

Amazing app for a ba'al koreh, so you can review on the go. However, one critical change that needs to be implemented: aligning the text in the app with where it will actually appear in the Torah column. In the app, every aliyah starts from the beginning of the line, on the right side, while in the Torah, that's not the case. This is important since so much of remembering the text during reading is tied to the placement of words. Doesn't seem like a difficult change to make, but the impact will be huge :-)

D70%
by D####:

Great for reading the Parasha or preparing a portion to leyn. The new update makes the two texts in line with each other, so taping on the screen shows/hides the vowels and notes

Turning on and off nikud as needed with just a tap. Brilliant! Just a little tweaking of initial navigatoin would make it perfect: The app should know what this week's parsha is. If I have never used the app before it should start on rishon of this week's parsha. If I have used the app this week, it should open to the same page I was using before. If last time I was looking at the parsha of that week, and now it is a different week, the app should default to showing me this week's parsha. If last week I was looking at a non-current parsha, it should go right where I was last time.
