Cell Radio ShutOff

Turns off cell radio, saves battery, still leaves WiFi on for this old HTC Sensation that I use in a WiFi building exclusively. Stopped alerting me that there was Limited Service.

If I turn Cell standby, then will be shut down my SIM network? Or what change will be happen to my SIM network? Will it work on Xiaomi note 4?

Works perfectly. Didn't want to just trash all my old smartphones I don't use anymore, so I turned all my old phones into home wifi phones. So i don't need the cellular radio on them, just the wifi for VOIP calls. This worked perfectly.Thanks!

seems like a good idea, if it would work i'd be glad to use it, but it doesn't work, it's a machine that turns itself off

It said unfortunately the app stoped working...im using galaxy s4 mini with kitkat 4.4.2

Great concept, and I wish I could turn off the cell radio when I have no signal, which is most of the time, but keep both wifi & Bluetooth on. Since I can already turn on the wifi in airplane mode, this doesn't help me. Turning off the cell radio with this app also turns of the Bluetooth. I'm sure its my phone & not the app.

Im running jellybean. My wcdma signal keep dropping and missing.. With this app now i can restore my H+ signal!! Thx alot :)

When I tap on shut off radio..it says the app itself has been stopped each time...plz help

Installed it. Tried to use it - got message saying 'unfortunately, cell radio shutoff has stopped.'

Tired using it..keeps telling me it has stopped. Cannot get it to shut off cell radio

I have an old HTC BEE that I am using as an IP camera monitor, as well as a few other things. It does not have a cell phone account attached to it, so I do not need the radio on eating battery power. But I do need the WiFi on, so I can not use the normal airplane mode. This app shuts down the radio without shutting down WiFi or Bluetooth.

Author requires minimum permissions. Saves power, reduces radiation from cell network attempts -- while still letting you use WiFi calling (otherwise,airplane mode+enabling WiFi will block WiFi calling.)

This is perfect! Does what it says... nothing more, nothing less. Would have gladly paid for it! (ZTE Vital / Virgin Supreme ... Android 4.1.2)

was hoping this would work to save my battery. it did not.

My phone's plan ran out, and the cell idle was using up all of my battery. This app saves so much battery! *You should make a widget for this!* However it needs to be automatic, so I dont have to open it every time i turn my phone on

App works great on a Samsung Nexus S Google LS-D720 v4.1.1 phone BUT.. Hangs every time on a Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-720 v4.3 and therefore doesn't work.

I downloaded this app because cell radio uses a lot of my battery. Upon clicking the shut off radio option, this app immediately shuts down and does a force close.

It's not good for the HTC m7. It will give Errors.

Every time I open the app I get a message saying unfortunately cell radio shutoff has stopped working. Please fix. Using a Nexus 7 tablet

I probably wouldn't have used it anyway. Airplane mode then Wi-Fi on does the same. What would really be useful is a setting to turn cell radio off automatically when on Wi-Fi, then on again when not. I use VOIP for voice only on Wi-Fi.

I could find no other ap that would just turn off the cell radio without messing with the other radios, until this one. My only suggestion, to improve it, would be a widget that does the same thing. Why all the power control bars do not have this feature beats me.

installed to save battery while traveling and not using cell radio. failed sgs5 on first try and FC, but turned off cell radio, because after 3 weeks of traveling and only using wifi, forgot about it and returned home and data/cell would not work. took to mobile shop and swapped sims with no luck , then they told me my sim card slot needed repair lol. went home and backtracked. then it dawned on me haha. found the app and disabled it. this thing really needs a radio status indicator in drop down menu or something as a reminder. but apparently it works!

Don't download!!!!, iv tested it on meny phone's. JUST TERN FLIGHT MODE ON DOES THE SAME THING. PS good for a prank, download on Friend's phone turn cell radio off and delete the app!!! Have fun!!!?

Can now use my phone for WiFi only calling and the absence of the cell radio working all the time extended the battery life. :)

I'm looking to programmaticly turn off the radio such that my kids won't turn it on.

Unfortunately, this does not work on the Nexus 6. As soon as you hit the Shut Off Radio button, the app force closes.

Works even after reboot..set it once and forget it...one tiny flaw is that when u push the off button it appears to do nothing,even know it does work.the on button does popup a note saying ''on'' ..I have a portable hotspot with unlimited data so I only use WiFi on my phone with google voice for ingoing AnD outgoing calls and texts...no plan no cell signal ever needed.. SAVES BATTERY.....thank you

Did not work on Motorola X XT-1058.

my actual PHONE (Moto E, 4.4.4), crashes the app every time I try to turn the cell radio off. Works great for battery conservation on the Droid 4 I only ever use on WiFi, though.

Work fine. But icon is not visible on my black background. I use black coz amoled save energy. Please change. Draw white outline. Thanks.

I LOVE the concept, but it force stops when I try to turn it off or on, I don't know If it force stops after it shuts the cell radio off... Would you mind if I emailed you..?

I have a wifi only phone and was only getting four hrs per charge. Installed this now it's at almost 14 hrs! Found out my phone was running the cell radio the whole time, and there's no sim card lol. A fine easy tool to save you battery.
