Touchsquid Remote

I have been using this app for a long time. Still discovering new things it can do. Support is responsive, just had an overnight reply to my recent query.

Free trial only. Expired before I could get it to work with broadlink. No buttons worked ans it had an error asking to cancel or continue. Couldn't move buttons or label them. Not buying it after that mess of an interface

Touchsquid provides full customization when you explore all of the menus. You may need to select 'alternate IR blaster' to get it to work with your phone but when you get it all set up, everything (cable box, audio receiver, TV) work perfectly. Any minor issues I've had are quickly resolved by the developer. Increasingly, newer phones are not including an IR blaster, and I won't get a new phone that doesn't have one. I would really miss having Touchsquid.

Love this app. I was able to get rid of several remotes including a couple of programmable Logitechs. I use it to control 7 devices with my Samsung Tab4 and S5 & S6 remotes and all work perfectly. I love that I can customize just about everything. Great app.

I'm surprised to see that SATV is not supported. Shield even supports 3 remote standards. IR, Bluetooth and WIFi. EDIT: Thank you. I will check it out on a Lenovo tablet.

*Glad to see some updates finally roll in!!* This really is a great deal. It's not flashy, and tough to customize in that regard. But even a $200 Logitech doesn't give you this kind of root control for MACROS, custom functions, etc. There are dedicated activity driven remotes and touchscreens, but @10x & 60x the cost JUST FOR THE HARDWARE. $300-1000 for the programming which happens once. Change a component & add another fee. There may be some hassles with the upgrade & license, but FOLLOW DIRECTIONS/contact support and everything is sorted quickly.

This is the best remote ever!! The customer service is awesome!! I got a new phone lg v20( which did not work with this app at the time) the developer went out and got the lg v20 and after numerous correspondence. He made it work with my phone. He went above and beyond to help me get this working!!! I have used this app for a few years and if the code is not in the app he will get for you. He works very hard and is only one man, but if he can help you he will. If you are even thinking of buying this app DO IT!!!!!! I have never regretted this purchase!!!!!!

Great app... Great support... Does what it says on tin...

Tested on galaxy S4 with benQ projector, Sony tv, Onkyo receiver, and Samsung buy Ray. I tried numerous configurations under each category, and not a single item seems to work. Other apps offer much easier setup and actually WORK. Uninstalled.

Purchased touchsquid a long time ago now it says its now discontinued and download to gr. I am not paying again I purchased the full version and now all I have is a trial. I want this free or a full refund of what I purchased as I can no longer install it

Installed app on galaxy note 4. it doesnt let me set up a remote. It gives me 3 errors saying it cant find or connect to internet, even on a wi-fi connection! Definitely NOT worth $15. Trying to get a refund.

I used to love this app but since I upgraded to marshmellow it can no longer detect my ir blaster. I will change rating to five stars once this is fixed. Using peel remote until then.

Complete garbage. Does not work on Galaxy S6 running Marshmallow... So no this is not the greatest remote never will be either. I would give 0 stars but Google Play makes you give 1 star. It's really sad i can load any remote app from the market here and they all work but yours does nothing because it says no IR Blaster found...

Needed a remote to control a light fitting. Buttons are not that configurable. Would suggest if possible a learn mode from the remote to enable you to set individual buttons

Don't know why I'm rating the free version when I paid for the pro version. This used to be a 5 star app but all of a sudden it just quit controlling my devices. Using galaxy note 5 with global cache wifi/ir.

Failed to find ir blaster in HTC One m8. Other ir apps do not appear to have any difficulty using the ir blaster so this app must have a problem.

Don't work on Samsung note edge and from reading other reviews I think I'm better off buying an logitech remote updates don't kill it . So sad I really am looking for a good android app

It is still working on my galaxy note 10.1 . But on my note 4 after formating it wont work anymore please help.

Says no IR blaster found when app is opened on Galaxy S5.

Doesn't work anymore. Paid for the full version ages ago.

Thought it would just work with my LG. Instead requires some stupid external blaster.

Easy to configure and use

Worked flawlessly!!

It took me awhile to figure out what the setup process was expecting me to do. Now that it's done, the remote doesn't work and I have no idea how to get back to the setup screens. Needs work on usability.

Sharp LC42SB48UT listed as supported does not work. Support provides no solution. Also ROKU streaming stick not supported. Trial short bought app and it turned out not very usable in the end.

App description says it is compatible with the Note 4, so I expected it to make use of the IR blaster. I start the app and it tells me that it cannot find an IR blaster.

I purchased then I upgraded my phone to Galaxy S3 and it is now the free version and wants money. Also it will not see the IR on Galaxy S6.

Like many customers I see in the reviews, with the most recent update my previous version application was made useless with the update. I was told I would need to pay again when I'd already paid $49.99 previous for the application. I understandably, and like many of you, got extremely angry about this as I felt I'd been ripped off for $49.99. I E-Mailed support, expressing much distaste and frustration with this. Nevertheless, they worked to make it right - I now have a full version paid application again.

I purchased a older version and was forced to upgrade to this one, it doesn't work now because with this upgrade it's now just a trial.

Pls can you get it to work on S6 edge? Because it's the best remote app i've used
