一直以來家扶始終陪著貧困的家庭度過最艱難的時刻，也提供各種兒童少年及家庭輔導活動，期待透過這些服務，種下脫離貧困的希望種子。
我們不斷思考如何讓貧困家庭可以盡快脫離貧窮的困境?除了等待孩子長大賺錢外，還有沒有什麼方法可以協助這些家庭盡早脫離貧窮呢?我們發現貧困家庭的家長們最大的困擾是除了經濟外，就是就業問題。
一份穩定能養家的工作是家長的冀望。為了積極培養貧困家庭的主要生計者有穩定就業及自立因應能力，以及實際參與生計市場的經驗培養，我們開發「幸福小舖」服務模式，盼望除提供職業訓練予家長及貧困青年，助其習得一技之長外；並佐以產品生產、產品包裝、商業經營等實際經驗，輔導貧困家庭於失敗或成功的經驗中，提升貧窮家庭生計自立能力。
