When completing daily or weekly timesheets to bill customers, it can be difficult to remember how long was spent on each task or project. Task Timer keeps track of how long was spent on each activity throughout the day and produces a daily or weekly report to ensure timesheets are completed accurately.
It is intended as an aid to accurately complete timesheets (whether on paper or by entry into a computer system) and does not itself generate timesheets. We feel that timesheets should be completed by a human to ensure that customers are not overcharged - upsetting customers that way is never a good thing to do.
Task Timer is very lightweight and can be closed once a task has been chosen for timing. In fact, if your battery dies while you are timing a chargeable journey, for example, you will still get an accurate timing providing you connect power again (and stop the timer) when you reach your destination. If your customer is a hospital and you have to switch your phone off, this could be very useful.
Future versions will include:
• Lock screen widget to allow starting and stopping a timer without unlocking the device.
• Drill down into a task on the Durations Report to check how the total figure was calculated.
