About Simple Seizure Diary

This app is the perfect way to keep a diary and read it back in a number of different ways at the click of a button. You can share this information with your doctors and family as well.

You can look at your seizures on a month by month calendar, or scroll up and down through your seizure activity easily in the 'scrolling calendar' view. You can share a month's worth of seizure data via e-mail in files that anyone can download and view on their web browser.

You can use a wide range of customizable charts as tools to monitor your seizure activity. This is helpful when trying to find patterns or trends in your seizures. These charts are currently available:
- By date
- By length (in minutes)
- By hour of the day (customizable time frames in the settings menu)
- By day of the week
- By preictal symptoms
- By postictal symptoms

You can also share web versions of the charts via e-mail. There is the option to send the screen you're currently viewing, or all the data from the last 3 months. You can do all these with 3 clicks after you open the app!

As well as adding comments you can label your seizures with colors, if you want to make certain circumstances obvious. You could use color labels for things like missing work, incontinence, injury, an episode in public or any number of other things.

You can also add your own seizure types if the default specified do not match your seizure types, and then remove any if you wish to. Similarly, you can add and remove preictal and postictal symptoms.

You can also back up or transfer your seizure data in the settings menu. If you get a new phone, or if you're worried about losing your data, you can keep all of your data in one compact file. If you open the file on a phone you will be able to import that data with the touch of a button.

Any feedback is welcome in the review section, whether it be to existing features or towards new features. Enrol in the beta: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/uk.co.lukewizzy.seizurediary

Looking nice and simple. Thank you! This can help me to record my brother seizures. In future update (if have it) any chance for support Cyrillic symbols?

Great for taking my son's seizures. When we're always on the go and he has them so often, it's nice to pull out your phone and track every seizure quickly. You can also view a scrolling calendar or monthly calendar for quick access to how many seizures have occurred in a given time. Great to show to the doctor.

Love that I can put in my own type of seizures and keep track of trends. I love that it's so simple, does no more or less than I need. Perfect. I give it five stars even though I can't put spaces in the seizure names, because it's so much better and less complicated than any other I've tried. I'm willing to live with that minor issue. I'm sure the developer will fix it in time.

It's great you can back up data. However if I back up onto Google Drive I get a message saying the file type is not supported. I tried backing up & restoring by email, which worked but this wiped all the seizure type names. Final thing, when adding seizure type names, it seems spaces are not accepted; I could only add Atypical Absence as one word. Overall though it's great. Thanks!

I can't really time my seizures as I live alone. I don't how understand how someone can press the app and then press start. I don't get auras. I have absent and tonic clonic. Some days I'll have Absent seizures one after another. Up to 50 on a bad day 10 on a good day. Other than that it seems like a pretty good diary..

I have struggled for years at keeping records of my seizures. I would misplace them or put them in secure places & forget when I would go through a difficult period with lots of "spells" as I often call my seizures. Sometimes I would even throw them away. I always have my phone with me and someone can record it right then if it's grand and I can record it later if it's others...Adding details has helped me see patterns I haven't seen in 10 years! I have been so blessed by this app! I love it!

My son has been having more seizures. It helps me keep track of them and see what patterns there are as well. Only wish there was a section to record the medications they are taking as well.

Helps me keep track of my seizures. I also love how it can sort them so many ways so you can see if there is a specific time/time of month you have them.

Just started using it. So far it's great but I'd prefer to be able to select multiple pre & post symptoms. Right now I have to type them out in the notes. Also, a trigger section would be beneficial. I.e. My seizures are triggered by movement, anxiety & my photosensitivity: patterns, Sun flickering thru trees, etc. I like that I can add/change all the types & symptoms in the app! & that there is a timer so my family can go to my phone & time/record entries for me

R70%

Pretty good seizure tracking app. I love being able to time the event (I track my daughter's seizures) . Would love to see a widget that could achieve the same as the button to start recording seizure time. (tap again to stop)

X70%

I have regular seizures and it's ideal to be able to log them on here and keep track of them so that both me and my neurologist can go through them in my appointments!

Q70%

Auto backup, more info on calendar etc could help but I've used it 4 seizure records for a year or more

R70%

Worked for a little while. Went to show my veterinarian the last time my dog had and seizure (which was approximately 2-3 weeks earlier since starting her new meds) and all of my previous entries were vanished without a trace. Not helpful.

Z70%

Easy to use, simple to point, but please add a feature so that we can email or print more than 30days. Then would be 5 Stars. Need this for my doctor and feel many others do too.

R70%
by R####:

Would like to see the timer option as a widget. Or a widget in general. Descriptions of seizure types for newbies trying to log would be nice.

R70%
by R####:

Easy to use, great to have ability to back up, but no good way to share with doctor. I need an option to email or print!

But a way to BACKUP the log would make it complete. I use it almost daily for my seizures. Keep up the good work. Thanks for providing a great service for us sufferers.

For the last few years I've searched for a seizure tracker that measures events in seconds--since mine rarely last longer than a minute. This does that, and so much more. I'm very very pleased with it!

S70%

Love this app. My family can tell me what happened and all i have to do is add it in here and show my doctor. No more forgetting

What get 5 stars if I can figure out how to save my information I have lost so much information over the years because I'm not able to save it I don't know how many seizures my life is sad because every time my phone goes out I lose all the information thank you

R70%

Son has multiple complex health issues. This site is so easy to use. While I use another app for medications a future update that allows a user to input medication types, dosages, time to take, and time taken would be a fantastic addition

N70%

Would be nice if you could color code the types of seizures so when you look at the month it's not all the same color. I have to tap on each day to see what was happening that day. Thank you

R70%

Would get five stars if you could make multiple selections for preictal and postictal symptoms as sometimes you have more than 1 symptom but a great app otherwise

Would be nice to add a stopwatch that can help determine the duration of the seizure or episode.
