There's an information notice taking up precious screen space which I can't dismiss. Thank you for asking me constantly for month, but I don't want "To find out about your next train, platforms and any delays as you are arriving at your saved railway stations, please go to More > Alert Me > Enable". Please make it go away. Android 6, Sony Xperia F3311.

Really useful app and it's good to be able to follow trains in real time but it does have a tendency to crash and it would be good to be able to pin more than one train. Also if your train is delayed you can't keep it pinned after the time it's supposed to have arrived. The app helpfully tells you that the train has completed it's journey which is salt in the wound when you're still an hour away from home.

Since this recent update the app just doesn't work properly. Journey planner doesn't work at all, add in the journey only to be returned to the home screen with no results, total waste of time. Despite other people saying app isn't working the developer hasn't fixed it for weeks. Definitely not worth upgrade to paid version.

O70%
by O####:

Be careful when checking departures - this app will also list trains that go to your stop hours later, for example, on their return journey. I have gotten on the wrong train many times as a result of this app. Perhaps the number of stops to your destination could also be listed l.

Used to be brilliant but now the wake me up feature doesn't work properly. The alarm only goes off when the screen is unlocked, otherwise it just vibrates briefly once, which is not enough to wake you up. I've tried changing numerous settings but nothing seems to bring this feature back to normal. 2 stars because it's otherwise very good but needed the wake me up feature last night and it let me down! Please fix. Thank you.

Will only work if I let you know my location. If you do let it know then your phone tells you when you are at a station! I know already as I am actually there! Also, doesn't use that info to populate nearest station or live trains or anything useful.

by S####:

5 years ago there was a very simple rail app, that was a rip-off, but worked well. This version is markedly inferior. At least it's free, but there is still an exhorbitant £5 fee to go ad-free. No thanks! Why can't developers just focus on making simple apps that work well all the time?

S70%
by S####:

I liked the new pin a train facility, but turns out it's based on the expected arrival time. Tonight it's chaos due to issues at East Croydon but pinned train just unpin's as it should have arrived. But at least an hour from arriving at its destination

Genius update that. Now when I search for my home station I get "sorry no stations found" before typing anything. First, second and third letter meet with same response. Even spelling out the station for it I still get that stupid message. Genius. Just downloaded and used it again for the first time in two years. For my journey from Sowerby to Huddersfield it sent my basket to Thames Link trains. ???? You couldn't make this app up.

Q70%
by Q####:

Not sure why, but for me currently the app loads, crashes, then opens Chrome... I've sent feedback but does that ever work? 1 star as the app is a virtual dust collector right now. Have resorted to using the website instead. Edit: just reinstalled and the app seems to be working so far.

S70%
by S####:

Does not work Downloaded as I had this app on my previous phone. Does not open but crashes on trying to open. Even the report problems add on crashes. Bit like British Railways only a service in the South East

S70%
by S####:

This app is not intuitive. As a user, I want to be able to find a journey - which I can do easily. Then I want to make it 'my journey' to be able to get to it easily at any time. As far as I can make out. I can only 'pin' a journey once it's started. If there's another way of doing it, I can't find it. Therefore, it's really frustrating.

S70%
by S####:

One irk that has mildly vexed me for years: the Planner defaults its date and time to the last time you looked up, which is almost always in the past. Then it complains that that's invalid. Fine to keep your previous search time when it's still in the future, but if it's in the past then why not default to the current time and show the trains leaving right now?

R70%
by R####:

Used to be increadibly useful for my commute. For weeks now it has been hanging all the time and can't do anything with it. The only thing that works is the desktop widget. It always had bugs (developers should be ashamed!), but nothing a restart wouldn't fix.

J70%
by J####:

New to the app and therefore have no experience of previous versions. I find it a little frustrating to use: for example I've been trying to save a route for the last 5 minutes and still haven't worked out how to do it. Could be more intuitive to use.

S70%
by S####:

Latest "update" doesn't allow me to turn of notifications for good and the screen is now even more cluttered than before. It seems to have become an advertising billboard rather than a functional, useful app. What a shame.

S70%
by S####:

The app was absolutely fine up until it's recent 'upgrade'. Now I can't even open the app without it crashing instantly. Some people have said that it will work if you have location services on but this is not the case for me.

C70%
by C####:

Not helpful at all. Once you put in 1 journey wont let you change to another?? Not user friendly - not clear which option you need for your journey. All people want to know is what trains they need. Far to many options that arent necessary. Need to remember it an app. Simple = user friendly

U70%
by U####:

You seem to be requesting location a lot (and are being shown in Oreo battery settings as draining battery because of this). However, if I deny you the location permission to counteract this, the app crashes on startup. This is pretty poor. You should clean up your location tracking, but at a minimum give me the option to opt-out by handling permissions correctly

N70%
by N####:

Latest release is unusable. It says I have no Internet connection when I try to plan journeys. Was this actually tested before release? I definitely have Internet as every other app is working just fine.

Y70%
by Y####:

Latest update has spoiled the app. Keeps crashing and doesn't work until I turn on location service for the app. Why do you need to know my location for me to search for trains?

G70%
by G####:

Received an alert of disruption on the line at 21:30 today. That alert was spot on, too bad it was 15h late... Other than that the app is great... Who am I kidding? It's really clunky and overcomplicated...

S70%
by S####:

Don't know why, but now for whatever reason when I open the app it now just crashes and closes every time I open it. It has been working fine until a couple of days ago when the app started closing itself.

Z70%
by Z####:

Latest update kept crashing on the opening flash screen. Only way to resolve this was to uninstall and reinstall the app. Unfortunately doing so you lose all your saved data.

R70%
by R####:

I use this app every day for my work, it's great but since the most recent update it no longer mentions which platform trains leave from? Not sure why this is but that was one of the best features, in my opinion! Hopefully they bring it back in a future update.

H70%
by H####:

Used to work find until update a few weeks back. I've reported it still not fixed. This issue deems the app useless. Please get sorted, even if it's to revert to the previous version whilst the new version is tested properly in a test environment so it works properly before being installed on our phones. 25 Oct 2017 - update Uninstalled and installed again. Still doesn't work. Feedback left again and not resolved... useless app as won't even open. I've had to resort to using the web version. Going to un-install now! Grrrrr.. .

S70%
by S####:

Works for small amounts of work. Noticeably drains battery when not put in sleep. Crashes if denied access to gps. Doesn't work in absence of internet access. Could've as least cache last viewed service. Same as using their website.

Y70%
by Y####:

Awful since the latest update. You search trains and it shows you train times from hours earlier. Other trains are completely missing from the timetable. Sort it out! What a shambles.

S70%
by S####:

This app used to be acceptable... It's now useless. It's aggressive location checking was destroying my battery. I blocked it from getting location data and now it crashes on start up. Totally shoddy.

M70%
by M####:

Latest Android update has rendered app useless - keeps telling me I am offline, which is not the case. About as reliable as Network Rail itself !

S70%
by S####:

Why would you restrict favourite stations to a maximum of 3?? What use does this serve? I travel between a few different stations frequently, yet because of this arbitrary limit I'm having to search for them regularly.

S70%
by S####:

Have uninstalled the app as the only way to get it to work was to allow it to have access to my location. I am not happy with that as I don't trust apps that force me to allow that type of access. Was never a very good app in the first place as live departure boards were never very accurate.

B70%
by B####:

This app used 2 b Great, 1 of faves + used it all the time but last few weeks it just crashes every time. It's just useless, if ur thinking of getting...no point as it won't do anything!!!

S70%
by S####:

Very bad. Functionalities and features are complicated, and does not work often. There are adverts, notwithstanding very expensive tickets. Absolutely to avoid if you can.

N70%
by N####:

It's a handy app to have when you need to travel. Unfortunately it is very power hungry so I have had to deinstall it after just one journey's use

S70%
by S####:

Really disappointed previous version worked fine however in last week can't even get it to open. Just keeps crashing and closing itself down, before I've even clicked anything...what a shame. Wasn't brilliant but at least worked before, was able to buy tickets etc. On previous version☹️☹️

H70%
by H####:

Surprisingly useful. Live updates seem to show changes as soon as the real boards in the station. Some UI niggles, but nothing awful. Considering how hard it is to get app design right, and considering they are a long way from being a software company, I'm gobsmacked by how well NRE have done this. Definitely recommended!

S70%
by S####:

App is awful. Select stations, times press go to be greeted with a never ending spinning loading banner or an offline message

V70%
by V####:

Terribly outdated and unintuitive. Unrecognisable as an android app. Why not follow the Android UI guidelines? And as for the latest update - "Bug fix's".. Does nobody check these things before they're pushed out?

S70%
by S####:

Upcoming strike thought it best to get app for alerts but crashes on opening when I deny location (to save battery) so haven't got around to using. Shame.
