I have read the other reviews and Im not sure what the 12 day thing is about. I saw a chair go on 1 day previously and I messaged the seller and had it in my house 1 day later. Same for some Denby I bought and now I am dealing with a seller to buy a dining set. I did try to put a sale on but the picture kept coming up upside down so I gave up. Otherwise its great.
The app itself is useless. Keeps defaulting to London when I search and I'm in Yorkshire. Change it, search again, back to London. And now having to wait TWELVE days to respond to a seller unless you upgrade your membership? Greedy. Nothing more, nothing less. Used to be five days. But hey, got to keep the fat cat shareholders happy, eh?
Preloved used to be brilliant for finding/selling local bargains, especially if you have low income. They now want you to upgrade and charge you to get that bargain or wait 6 days to see if it's still available! Not good for selling either, buyers maybe waiting for those days to buy and so delaying selling.
Difficulty loading photos. Takes 4 attempts each time. Also its a bit much not allowing people to buy for 12 days unless they pay a membership fee! Shpock is far far superior and easier to use. This app is quite frankly rubbish!
Not a very user friendly search system. Quite difficult to find what you're looking for locally. Notifications are pretty much non existent which can cause you to miss out on a purchase. Too many "old expired ads"
I've used the site before but in the app the search is poor, there just aren't enough categories. When you try to specify a search by area you can either search the whole of the UK or if I want to specify an area I just get a blank circle which I presume is supposed to have a map in but it doesn't work. This app is still like a beta version, Gumtree and Ebay are miles ahead in terms of usability.
Must be a few admins as they don't work the same. I put an advert on and it was approved. I came to update it and they said I need a business membership. Just trying to screw more money from me
This app is great I've managed to find lots of 2nd hand things on here and in my area also. It's great that you can place an advertisement on it for free. I only found 1 thing a little annoying and thats if you don't pay money then you can not contact a seller about an item they are selling unless it's been advertised for 12 days or more. Other than that little disappointment I would recommend this site to anyone
My favourite secondhand store. App is a piece of cake to use and generally the advertisers respond quickly. Never used it to sell anything but as a buyer the app is user friendly and there are loads of items for sale.
After 15 months using preloved I'm not impressed. The description part for what you're selling is basic as is the search facility which makes it hard to put forward what you're selling. You can't just rely on the description, you need a way to catch buyers through a more detailed search. I even paid the higher package last year and found it no better. I think I'll quit out soon. I certainly will not be paying for it again, I know it's not worth it.
Making you wait for 12days to respond to an add unless you pay for membership!? Lol what a mistake, y would I wen there are better free sites out there!! Joke!!!
Seems to be more business ads then items on here. Ill stick to gumtree as its easier to use. 2 stars which is for the map radius option and the layout of items in grids which i liked.
I have sold many things on Preloved over the years from animals to furniture . Many people i have sold to remain friends . Great service ! Don't like ...how i can't renew adverts until email tells me to . Also it doesn't always get the locations correct.
Worst search feature on an app I've ever come across. I've all but stopped using Preloved due to this. Gumtree is SO much more efficient and user friendly.
Easy to use. Can't respond to ads for nearly 2 weeks though (without membership) and ads aren't taken down as soon as the item is sold which is annoying!
asking money first 6 days pet4home is 100 time better
This site is good for both buying and selling things and keeps you up-to-date with the latest items available and information of how far away items are and effective ways to contact seller
Generally good with a few glitches. Annoying that I don't seem to be able to sort a category by date of when items were listed.....
I never use a pic always my tablet or phone and this app is awful to use. I have a soft spot for preloved but please guys look at the gumtree app.
But I hate the fact that you can't click on someone's profile to see their other items like with most buying and selling apps. Please fix this and the slow messaging speeds and confusion and times out and error messages the app keeps doing as it's putting me off a bit from using it. Thank you x
Preloved has been a big help in selling clutter from my home. Easy to use, an attractive app, and little restrictions on advertising.
Have found some bargains and the app is generally easy to use. Have mixed feelings about the distance feature, love that it shows you approximately the distance from you. I don't like that it can't be left on, which means that you have to change the feature for each. I would like to be able to comment on how the transaction went.
Happy with my buying experience (ie good quality items), but would help if sellers indicate if they will post items in ad & payment preferred please.
Works better on PCs and Laptops. But mobiles not so good. Lags a lot.
With in one hour got one i asked 3 people all got back. A big thankyou
Easy to use and is a great app however it doesn't show your favourites if they've been saved on a different device otherwise I would recommend this app for selling and buying iteams
App works well, however when creating a ad would like to b able to rotate photos as preloved always seems to attach them sideways. Also it would b good if u could see all sellers adverts u can on desktop but not on mobile app.
Great for selling local stuff. Only gripe is I can't seem to delete old messages. Top app.
I would give it 5 stars ✨ but it's a bit buggy n glitchy.other than than I would highly recommend.
Used for a a week browsing local things , handy to be able to limit your search area trying now to delete items viewed history open to ideas also there is a £5 yearly charge
Improvements, would be nice if you could multi select ads to update like you can on the website. Would be nice if you could multi select images at upload or even allowed to upload more then three images. I love this app, just think these improvement could make it better.
I have been using preloved website for years and we'll before they introduced the App. Little bit of more work will put them straight next to top Marketplaces such as eBay. .
Unable to adjust distance settings from search location. Poor in comparison to ebay & Gumtree
When you see something interesting the people are ready to sell I spend half the time chasing them for their own goods and offering the money!
Not very good charging people to see adverts, when you can see the same ads on other seller sites for free.
Scrolling issues in viewing messages that once you scroll down you cannot go back up
The app itself works well however when messaging someone about an item I was selling messages didn't get though and we ended up texting each other. I received the buyers message yesterday, 1 week after the item was sold!!! Also, when creating an advert there is no option to rotate or cut the pictures, makes some adverts look unprofessional when preloved loads the pictures sideways and then doesn't let you rotate them.
Full of good bargains and so glad they finally have an app! Constantly finding good buys
The app looks amazing ! However I agree messages are taking ages to come through if at all if fixed 5 stars from me
About time! Great little app
