Its great, i remember playing this when i was 10 and i hated writing in the book and erasing it. It is a great log of what items you have, all of your stats and it has an ingame roller. My only issue (and its a small one) is not being able to change initial scores (at least to my knowledge) as i love rolling physical dice. Furthermore, if you do use the IG Roller for fights, it doesnt automatically change overall health in the stats bar. (i think) highly recommended:)
I love that someone bothered to make this very handy tool for managing a basic Fighting Fantasy book. Five stars just for making it, and making it for free. Thank you! I'm having the same issue with removing inventory items; attempting to click on an item already on the list causes the app to crash. Also the "Fight" button on the combat page doesn't seem to do anything?
Would give it 5 stars if i could delete items from my inventory. I don't know if it's just my phone
Simple and elegant, does what it claims to do without any clutter or noise. I've run through one session with it and am very impressed. Would be nice to have a save/load option so I could do more than one book at a time, but no complaints as-is. Only question I have is how/where to find the log file -- I'd like to be able to save a copy. Overall, fantastic!
Fantastic app does everything you need, allows for an authentic game to be played using a book minus the inconvenience of manually working everything out to play!
A few bugs, not sure if it's my phone. Stamina (health) and skill are the wrong way round under the initial stats, which is confusing (20 skill?)
I think it would be better if you were able to change initial stats, and add new stats depending on which book you're reading. For example, Beneath Nightmare Castle adds a new stat called Willpower. And it's frustrating that I need to add a note, and then go back through my log to check my willpower.
Only has one battle slot and no way to add boxes for special stats like power, skills, days etc from special books
Could do with having the extra stat boxes when choosing which book you're reading. Also a section for the extra equipment good potions, magic etc would be nice. A little more tweaking and this could be a great app within the gamebook community. People are wanting something like this. All there is atm are web pages and windows apps...
Great app for fighting fantasy fans. Makes gaming so much easier. Would be five stars but won't let me remove items from inventory, just keeps stopping.
Fantastic app. Only minor issue is that the font has the "index" number at the bottom of the page slightly cut off.
This is a perfect way to discard the old pencil and paper use. I've become a reborn Fighting Fantasy collector over the last year or 2 and it's great to see a lot of titles being made into digital format. I see there are some problems with original monster stat information. Are you aware of the official FF title 'Out Of The Pit' ? This book gives a detailed description of every monster encountered in the series including their primary stats. Other than that I imagine it would require a huge database.
Brilliant app for F.F fans!!!
Great app with one tiny problem (unless I have missed a setting somewhere). You have to manually switch the initial values for skill and health. This is no great hardship so still rated 5*. Thankyou for this brilliant free app.
Great idea and its free.
Henry to add items to the inventory just click on the line next to the add button , write what you want and then click add
Just what I have been looking for. I managed to work out the "Add" button in "INV" (Inventory) so great stuff!
Awesome little that does just what you want. Would be five stars if it would let me remove inventory items. Every time I click on the the app stops. Still a great little app though.
This is a really well thought out app. If I could add one thing to the wish list, I personally like to see the dice results which aren't currently displayed in the fighting log. This is just a personal preference of course. Having said that, I really like the log that keeps track of everything that happens as it happens. It's a really nice addition to the app. And yes, I quite like the cover pictures, but I'm easy where that's concerned. Great app. Very well done.
A minor thought is if the stamina damage could be altered for combat as some +/- modifiers exist in the books.
Thanks for the nice work and for making it available for free. Only thing missing is support for more complex systems, like Starship Traveller and House of Hell, for example.
