Virgin Active UK is the app for Virgin Active members.
Browse, book or cancel class bookings at any club you have access to (up to seven days in advance), and add them automatically to your phone calendar with a reminder.
Don’t know your Grid from your Pack? Read up on each class before signing up, and keep track of all your bookings in My Classes.
Create your own customised timetables based on your needs. Pick your favourite clubs and classes, give your timetable a name and away you go! You can build up to five. You can also see where your nearest club is with our Club Locator, or search for a club in a specific location.

Find the distance to your nearest club as well as everything else you need to know (telephone number, address and opening times).
Boditrax
You can access your key Boditrax metrics through the app just by linking your Virgin Active and Boditrax accounts. Get a quick breakdown of your body scan results and easily compare your stats with previous results and a member average. With integrated Boditrax, it is easier than ever to track your body’s changes.

Worked for a couple of days, then stopped and now won't work at all. uninstalled it. After posting this review, Virgin e-mailed me and sorted out the problem. Apparently the time on my phone was different to the internet time. Changed the time to auto and tried again. it now seems to work OK; I'll give it a few days and perhaps up my rating. June 2017. This has now been working reliably for quite a long time. Very useful.

It really should place your booked personal training sessions on the calender automatically. This is a feature that's really lacking as they are expensive and need to be kept track of easily in case you need to deviate from your regular times or need to catch up on rescheduled sessions

Generally quite good. Wish it would update exactly who is taking each class as sometimes it just says "fitness team" and other times the name is wrong.

Great app but has the potential for more. Would love to see a social aspect where members can add each other as friends and see whether friends are attending the same classes. A leader board for classes attended would also encourage competition and more commitment amongst members to attend. =)

Great app. Simple and straight forward for class booking and cancelling. Would like it to be able to keep a running total of classes ive attended in a month without including those i booked but cancelled. Also it would be great if alongside classes, i could book my baby into the creche without having to make a separate call or visit to them to do so.

The last two updates won't show timetable and classes booked. The error message is that there is network error (but all the other apps can normally connect to the Internet)

This is so much easier than the old systems of booking online (logging in first) or ringing the club. Booking and cancellation is quick and easy, and the week view is great. Also love that it sends appointments to my calendar.

It is easy to use, however it is very slow. Mostly it comes up with a message Connection Timeout when booking classes, and still says Book, however if we then go to the website we are booked. The app also takes a while to update to show recently booked classes. I know 2 of us are having the same issues, so I think there's either a glitch or its just a clunky app which isn't as good as the website, which incidentally is also very slow to open the timetable page.

I was expecting a crappy app because ppl join the gym for gym, not the app, but this one is surprisingly functional and steady.
