Really annoying to set up and log in as the app refreshes if you switch to another app/window. Make sure you have a pen and paper handy to write down your government gateway ID and password!

App seems very accessible. However, the tax calculation is focused on PAYE earnings. As someone who's self-employed, this is of no use to me. Does HMRC have plans to update this app to include calculations and declarations to be made by self-employed sole traders in the near future?

App not able to validate my details using NINO , preventing me from filling self assessment,please fix this asap

Doesn't do anything. It's a wrapper for the website and offers no additional value. After creating 4 successful access codes and logging in. It said my account want supported for the app. Which is strange seen as it's a wrapper app

I was hoping when I installed the app I would be able to use it to update hmrc of changes or errors. Doesn't loom like I'm able to do this yet.

Really useful app. But always gives an error when trying to open a message, and then have to force close the app.

App crashes when trying to rename Access Code. What's the point of you can't even handle something as simple as renaming a item?

Great app, quick access to show my tax code on a real-time basis as I'm commission based, can spot any issues straight away and resolve, 5 ????

Dreadful app. Just re-directs to website which doesn't seem to recognise the access codes it's generating in the app.

So, to submit my mother's final tax return, I had to install this app. I am not worried that the government is spying on me, no, not at all, not even a little bit.

It's great if you just want to check child tax credits tells you how much and when you are due to get it. If it's personal tax then you need to login on website fab app and saves you calling them if unsure how much you get paid

Would be better if you could actually view other things like child benefit. Even the online version only takes you to the child benefit page for information. Should really add those features along with being able to track the progress of any claims be it child tax, child benefits etc.

It's fine for quick access to basic things like when and how much payments are. You still have to log in through the website to do much else.

Nice handy app for basic use of employment and benefits Payments in regards to HMRC gov tax and other expenses. This app is good for viewing your estimated PAYE income tax at the end of the year and also good for viewing which tax codes you've got. Must have!

If you try to see ur tax they will ask for access code, if you press back to get the code you will lose the login, so you never can zee ur tax by this app

Nice simple app with the same clean design as other government digital services. Would have been 5 stars if the tax calculator was more complete (e.g. factor in student loan and pension contributions).

The QR code generation help is not useful. Not able to login to app as my mobile number is changed.

You can't work out the tax you pay if you put in your wage anymore. A bit pointless app
