I've used this app for a long time and it does almost everything I want from a TV guide app but I'm knocking off a star now for their pricing model for getting rid of the ads, which is frankly extortionate at 99p a month. I'm not paying that for any app, let alone a simple TV guide app... and certainly not JUST to remove the ads (as opposed to added features etc). That said, there is one feature they could add that might make me change my mind, which would make the app perfect imo; and that would be a simple long term search function; I know the listings themselves aren't available long term.. no more than about two weeks in advance it seems... but that's nothing to stop the app from saving searches long term and running them periodically... on the currently available listings... and then notifying you in the future if there is a match. The app already runs in the background to notify you of your reminders, so doing this as well seems perfectly reasonable. Imo that would make the app worth a long term subscription, and though I would still hope for a more reasonable price, ultimately I would consider their existing price if they added this as a feature. ETA: it's not working for me properly any more... ever since I got my new phone (galaxy a5, running Nougat); the notifications don't come through on time any more so I'm missing things left, right and centre :( so the app's pretty much become useless :( I'm going to have to find some sort of alarm app to use in conjunction with it if I want to keep on using it :( ETA2. Never mind on the above; apparently it's a widespread problem on Nougat, that affects notifications from many apps... so can't blame these guys for that, and there is a workaround... so I seem to have got my notifications back, though that's tentatively. Anyway, putting my rating back up to what it was before.
This drives me up the wall, notifications have stopped working again, cancelled my subscription, as notifications only work 20% of the time, can I have my money back........?
Bugs bugs bugs. Doesn't cope with clocks going back i.e. two Sundays. Next week is all TBA - My TV already has listings
New update removed all my Youview channels I had selected and in a certain order. I'm with Plusnet but that's not an option so had Youview selected as it has all the channels. Update removed the subscription channels and messed up the app with no warning.
Used to be good. Now awful. Intrusive ads and keeps scrolling to the bottom of the channel list. Uninstalled
I've used this app for a long time and would actually give it a better score if not for the ads. I don't mind ads but the fact that they are trying to charge an extortionate 99p per month to remove them makes me feel the ads are deliberately intrusive/annoying. Would've happily paid a couple of pounds for an ad free version as well
Your update didn't fix the channel sorting bug on my Lenovo tablet, still can't move the channels. Very good TV guide. Could be better if the different channel numbers were put on, i.e. Virgin, freeview, sky. Does freeze a lot on my Samsung S3. Why after all these updates does it not let you organise your guide. You sort all your channels and go to whats on & YOUR CHANNELS are all over the place. Rubbish app.
This used to be frustrating app - but fell short of the mark. Now it's really good! Especially, notifications now work as one would anticipate. What's missing? 1) Clear indication on main channel program list as to which programs are (a) repeats, and (b) already in your watch list. 2) A web version that one can log into that mirrors the app's features. Fix those and it's an extra star. Thanks
Adverts are getting worse, I don't like full screen ads, especially when there are ads in line as well. The in line ones change size so are easy to click by accident. I also have a problem where it keeps scrolling to the bottom of the channel list after an ad is displayed, so I have to scroll all the way back up. Starting to lose patience.
It's been very good. Used it for years, but the BBC1 listings have suddenly disappeared. So I updated to the latest version and they're still not there. ???
I THINK IM GONNA HAVE TO DELEAT YOUR ABB FAB APP DUE TO THE ANNOYING WISH ADVERT YOU HAVE ON . I THINK IF YOU NEED TO BE FUNDED BY ADDS...TRY HAVING LESS AND MORE LOW PROFILE BETTER QUALITY ADDS .. BETTER COMPANIES.. THE QUALITY OF YOUR OWN TV APP IS WORTH IT. BUT THE TREND WILL BE TO DELEAT YOUR APP IF YOU CONTINUE ALLOWING INVASIVE CHEAP TRASHY FLASHING IMAGE RUBBISH LIKE WISH TO SOIL YOUR QUALITY APP... looks like Im just one of many to complain about the adds. Seems you dont listen.. seems its time for me to search another similar app or go back to tv times. Deleted this app, reinstalled it ..still total rubbish.. This time I delete for good..I suggest every one else does also.
Was very good but now its rubbish. Unable to log in. Keeps coming up with network errors. So deleted it.
Used this app for 4 years, suddenly no BBC 2 listing! Just bizzare. Uninstalled.
Can't get BBC1 on the app. Used to be there but has gone now.
Ads have got worse. Also way toooooo expensive to 'rent' the add free version. I would pay £5 for lifetime add free version. Time to look for another app?
Slow. Full of ads. Could have dealt with that, then BBC 1 disappeared. Uninstalled.
Good app but would be good if you can follow particular people so you get notified when their shows come on. Would also be good to follow shows which are not currently airing so you get notified when they come on rather than just shows which are currently airing.
Used to work really well but programme reminders have stopped working which is mainly what I use it for Will have to find an alternative as I'm missing live sports
On channel My5 the listing only shows from 20.00 hours and has done for a while.
Was ok but now too many adds and where's BBC1 gone iv just installed a much better app
Screen keeps blinking, loading screen keeps appearing. Won't scroll. Might be Oreo bug.
Every time I scroll the app, it reads as clicking an advert. Very annoying.
No BBC1...its been gone a while....poor app time to delete......I suggest you try another app.....avoid, avoid, avoid.....Please your life may depend on it.....this app is the start of all that is wrong with life, poor production, no testing....I am nobody's BETA tester....
Listings for many channels about to run out...
Used to be really good, but now misses off BBC1 - not particularly useful
This is the best tv guide I've used...Simple, straight forward and informative. .Well Done Guys!!!
No longer works. I've used this app for years but it won't open any more. Uninstall.
Lost itv1 on it yet again, all other channels showing though.
This app was ok but where has bbc 1 gone?
Had to uninstall and reinstall to get BBC1 back.
Where has BBC 1 gone?
Great app actually works unlike some others
Thanks for sorting out the channels
UPDATE: The latest 05 Dec: 2017 update has fixed the problem of no notifications on Android 8.0, Oreo, for me. So, back to 5 stars. Well done!
No matter how many times I select BBC1 from the freeview list it never appears in my list of selected channels so can't see BBC1 listings making the app almost useless. The in device feedback system throws up an error when I try and tell the developers about this.
Why hasn't Blaze channel been added channel 63 on freeview!?!
This TV app is mainly great. Don't mind the ads so will stick to the free version and every so often has incorrect listings so don't mind when it's free. For example today there's a film on that may be "Descent" or "The Descent" so either it's a film about a volcano disaster or a group of women in a potholing horror! It describes the first but has a photo of the latter and the iMDB link also goes to the latter. I've noticed this happen before with other listings but generally accurate. I miss the TV highlights feature. The TV highlights was good to suggest things I might not otherwise watch so would like to see that back. Overall one of the best TVGuides available.
Good app but I seriously despise the advertisements, especially when it keeps using up my mobile data.
Having issues with a few channels completing disapperaing - BBC 1 and ITV?!
I bought a subscription to stop advertising. I'm still getting ads, so I have cancelled subscription. Not pleased.
