hiku for Android
I tried about a half a dozen times to synch this with my phone. I kept getting the big red x. Synch failed. Hiku states it only works on 2.4GZ home networks. I must have the 5.0 kind.
I just got the device, downloaded the app to my Nexus 6p with Android 7. The app keeps crashing while attempting to log in.
Not only is the Hiku the only crowd funded project that I've backed that works as expected. Their app isn't garbage either! Its actually a great shopping list app even without the physical hiku! Very impressed.
It seems that items can't be deleted.
Loved the app and product until I got my Samsung Galaxy S7. It will not connect anymore. Keeps giving error and crashing. I can still use the app by itself, but can no longer use the Hiku tool to scan.
Seems to get the full experience you need to live in the US as when asking for postcode, only numbers are available. So no shopping for me......
Hiku on my phone & tablet.

Would like HEB
Garbage, could not connect to my Samsung 4. I went through the list of fixes, finally it says remove your screen protector, DO NOT REMOVE YOUR PROTECTOR, I now have to get a new protector and it still doesn't work. Save your money someone will make a better version of this soon.
The swiping of items is better. I wish swiping left to right would not open the menu. When in a store & using my phone one handed the menu keeps opening and not removing items from my list. Love the hiku device.
The concept and execution of hiku is great and so useful! App works flawlessly for me, synced between my wife's iPhone and my Android. One suggestion: Android Wear support, please!
Fantastic. Great idea. Makes putting a shopping list together so easy. Love the scanner.
Don't own a device myself, but still enjoy using the software
Good enough. If you aren't using their device I'd use one of the list apps with more generic list features to keep todo's and groceries in one app, and a widget for homescreen display. It is lacking in those areas.
Some extremely simple and free apps (Android * iOS) can scan Bar Codes & QR Codes, etc... Why can't the Hiku Phone App do the same...? Why do I have to spend $50/- for another device for simply scanning or talking to it...? If they still want to sell you something extra, why can't they develop a plug-in small device that can plug in to your headset jack...? I do not get it. There are many other Grocery/Shopping apps that do a great job scanning and creating your grocery/shopping list.
Only purpose for me was the Walmart Grocery integration. I can place items on a list, and it does actually match against Walmart's site properly. However, every time I attempt to send to cart, it fails with "No items found" despite the fact that it just found them on the previous screen. Until the integration is fixed, this app is useless for me (I had already written my own grocery list web app, I wanted this for the automation with Walmart Grocery). **UPDATE - Dec 12, 2015** Updating this to 5 stars, now that the software has been updated to correct the interaction with Walmart Grocery. I've successfully scanned, sent to cart, even scheduled a pickup time. Very nice!
My only issue is that sometimes items swipe away too easily when I'm trying to scroll.
Makes life much easier and the new connected shopping streamlines grocery shopping
Great app for managing shopping lists across many people
Forgets password with each update. Can't use it right when its needed.
It has revolutionized the shopping experience. Can't live without, wouldn't want to.
Twice now I've had items disappear when I actually got to the store.
Welcome to android Hiku!
Awesome device!

Loved the app and my hiku even recognizes the barcodes of products in Argentina (although some are wrongly cathegorized). However, an annoying thing is when you try to input your zip code for the online stores, it only waits for US zip codes. I understand the online Shopping feature currently only works in America and I actually think that makes perfect sense but from a UX pov You should allow the user to input the country even if the result will be that no stores are available, plus you could use the data.
