Very poor integration, easier to use a web browser
Disconnects frequently, good when it works.
Drops connect every day seconds Please find a fix for this as otherwise it is good
Works well on a Raspberry Pi Zero W. Volumio Version 2.129
Very convenient. I don't have to turn my laptop all the time with this app to use volumio.
Slow and disconnects all the time.
Does not work on Pixel XL
Keeps on dropping connection. Not useable. Have reverted back to laptop.
Can't find device. This app would be gold with manual options, such as entering hostname yourself.
Paid $.99 for this app with the expectation it would work, it does. Not, very disappointed. It changes are made I will update
Unfortunately it never manages to discover my device so for the time being I've got to stick to the web interface. Just have to consider the 99p I paid for that app a donation to Volumino to work on improving the app (which I don't grudge them).
Much better than the last app because, for the most part, it actually works. There are still bugs as it will randomly disconnect and rescan for the device at odd intervals. Right now the Web UI is still more reliable but the guys are on the right track.
Same problem here - it's stuck as the initial "searching" screen displaying "Device not found" and there does not seem to be any way to enter my volumio IP address manually. I've no idea why it can't find the pi2 that is running volumio... they are on the same access point on the same LAN. My laptop can see the volumio pi just fine and so can a web browser running on my Android tablet. Unless/until this search bug is fixed or it gets support for manual configuration this is of no use to me at all.
drops conection to volumio for a official volumio app far to fast. even the browser applet works better. great app except for the bugs but the price is just unreasonable. (please do excuse my bad english) keep up th good work
A "3" rating in the world of apps means a 0. Well, I give it a 1 because it doesn't find the volumio player. Search around, too many people have had this same issue. Why not be able to search by IP address?
More often than not it fails to start with a message that it can't find device. When it does start it will usually fail with the same message within a minute or two.
Great that there's an android app for Volumio. Unfortunately, it is quite slow, disconnects from Volumio device randomly and it takes over 100MB of storage space which isn't reasonable for a mere controlling app. It's much faster and reliable to control Volumio via web browser.
It works! Volumio discovery on the network is not always reliable. But much faster than the web app in a browser. Volume change makes an annoying noise on the phone though: would it be possible to disable it?
How does one get past the searching for device screen when it keeps saying device not found? Can I manually add my player IP etc? Update: I have 3 wifi routers in my house. Discovery does not seem to work cross routers. Once I forced my wifi to the same router as my volumio device discovery worked. So far looks good but will update my review once I played with the app properly.
