SMOVE

I like the smove itself but this app needs a lot of work. The photo and video quality is poor and slow compared to what my Note 5 is capable of by default which really defeats the whole purpose of the device. Other features like face tracking either barely work or just dont work at all. The sucess of this device is going to be brought down by the ineffectiveness of this app. Very poor execution so far.

Very disappointed using the Nexus 6P and the phone holder is pressing the volume button. The app do not record video and many other issues.

Update: Via an email response from SMove on March 18th 2017: "Yes, we are going to release an app update later this month/by April to resolve these Android related issues." Utterly useless software is crippling what is seemingly great hardware. For reference, this is being used on a Galaxy S7 Edge. The Smove is a great stabilizer, but this software for it leaves a bit to be desired. 1st of all the 180 and 360 stitching does not work. 2nd the video recording suffers from low FPS and frame drops. I have emailed Smove tech support with no response at this time.

Brought two smove units not to happy! To start with the 180 and 360 in the panorama mode does not work, does not stitch together at all cannot be into the picture shot in panorama mode like advertised. Have the Samsung s7 edge and tried to speak to customer service still can answer me why doesn't work except that you have to wait for an update in the app? This is totally ridiculous!!! Others things are wrong with it too like the face recognition is slow, and the video recording is not so good. Wish I could return both units for a refund!!! Totally unhappy!!

The app is a little buggy for my SG7. The auto track is a little slower than I would like and the 180 and 360 does not seem to stich the photos. UI could use a little love too. Overall, the Smove device seems to be working fine.

When using the app for face recognition, the video quality is much lower than the resolution I have my phone set at by default. Galaxy S6 Edge

The SMOVE is awesome. I've been building or using Steadycams for years and this is my favorite. It just works, but only for iPhone/GS7 size phones, and maybe slightly larger. The Android app works just the same as the iOS equivalent which is refreshing. You have to have the SMOVE stabilizer obviously, but if you do, this simple app provides great control to get great stable video.

On a nexus 5x, panorama feature doesn't work and face recognition is slow. Lots of room for improvement

Whatever advantage your phones built in camera has is negated by the 720p(highest setting) capture Quality of this app.. Add to that fact that the audio is MOST DEFINITELY slower than the video. Meaning your talking subject looks like they are doing an interview via satellite from 1995.. So, I have a Samsung S7 edge that has a great built in camera that can shoot 1080 60fps but if I want the face tracking ability(the whole reason I bought Smove) This app cuts down the quality to 720p ay 15fps(Horrible, less than DVD Quality)and audio is off too, Why would any one want to do that? Wasted product feature..
