File Expert - file manager

Anyone knows if the developers of the app are still active? I have sent several emails to get support on an issue I'm having and have had no luck reaching them. For some reason I can't open up files stored on my external sdcard. I have granted full access to it and still won't work. I downloaded another file manager app just to test my SD card and i'm able to access and open up files without any problems.

File Ecpert is the best fole manager on Android platform. It has lots of features, it's stable and every update brings something new that could be really useful. I tried lots of file manager apps but I returned to File expert, it's simply better. My only comment is about working with other clouds, like Google Drive or Dropbox, copying or moving files to clouds could be easier, now is a little complicated. Solve that and you'll get 6 of 5 stars!! Dear developers, why every update is bigger and bigger? Try to make the app smaller then it'll 5+!!

I have used this app for a while, and it was great, but since the company name changed, things are different, it has now become inferior to the program I paid for, and now it wants me to pay more and more often for something I already paid for that was working great. But it isn't working great anymore, the interface changed, and sometimes change is good, but what about the networking? The FTP doesn't seem to work anymore. I used to connect Droid devices with ftp, but it doesn't work anymore. Fix the FTP.

I love this App, however, I cannot open the files on the External SD card. I can see them but cannot open them. I've written to customer support three times, all I get is email replies with ticket numbers to wait in line. Over ten days now. I was about to give it 5! I even paid nearly $5 for the Pro version. I don't need a refund, all I need is a solution.

Well, there is some problem that bothers me. Everytime I leave a FTP client tab when I quit it and return back, it crashes and return back to the last screen (e.x. apps drawer). Trying to clear data to get it back working properly though.

I paid for Prokey to remove ads. It worked OK on Samsung S4. After moving onto S7, I'm bombarded with publicity and can't recover the Prokey. I've requested support several times for over FIVE MONTHS. No reply. This is a SWINDLE. Don't throw away your money. Just uninstalled it.

Creating new folders is not friendly. The only way I've figured it out is to pretend that I need to move a file, then the function to create a new folder appears. Why can't I just create a new folder by pressing the plus symbol instead? It makes more sense to do it this way because the plus sign means to add something.

Worked amazing on my Samsung Galaxy S7. Just upgraded to Galaxy S8 yesterday and now it does not work. Every time I try to open a folder it does nothing. Can't open, move, copy, delete or anything else. App is now entirely useless. Wish I hadn't paid for some of the good features.

The picture browser is crappy. Seems all file browsers do. I wish there's an option to change it. I can't hide the app folders as well that I don't access but need by apps. Hope this feature will be added to have a clean navigation on my file and not seeing unnecessary folders listed.

Opening in TABs is great feature. It provides flexibility & convenience to open folders side by side from anywhere i.e. from any storage location. Other features under study, but by the look of it they are pretty common with any other good file manager/explorer app.

Even after giving permission to access SD Card, the pop up for requiring SD Card access is always popping up on the screen every time I open the app. Is there is any other steps to show SD Card and selecting it?

It worked great when I first tried it but it will no longer right to my phone's external micro SD card. It will write to the internal card no problem. I like this app because it's so much faster than all the others but this godsend turned out to be a major disappointment. Please fix the problem with the external SD card and this app will definitely get 5 stars.

Toilet Managers, That's Who They Are! They keep the app all clean and supported in the beginning. Now after a little cash in their pockets they leave it to rot! DON'T DOWNLOAD TILL THEY COMEBACK FOR MAINTENANCE!

1.Decompress is somewhat slower compared to ES and other file manager. 2.Sometimes decompress do not show the speed but after a while it will successful. 3.Cannot connect to Private Cloud using Google+. 4.Private Cloud takes a few minutes to connect to pc. 5.Private Cloud cannot copy ANYTHING from pc to android even a very small file. 6.Folder shown incorrect size even after refresh.

Used to work, not any more. Can't add network drives on new phone. Unable to send feedback. Paid for cloud storage I can't use. Avoid this no name storage services.

Doesn't seem to work with Nextcloud via WebDAV. Tried both the bare hostname and hostname + DAV path, and both times it just lists an empty folder.

It's an app that i really like and Ppruciatw. But mY be it's because there're too many apps on my phone, but the app and apk viewer has stopped working. Hipe you fix it. I use samsung note 4

I was 'Beta Testing' but no longer had enough now you changed the UI and there are bits missing from previous versions. Cannot even move files from internal memory to external memory! I'll be Using HD Version from now on, useless is an under statement! Is light and dark the only possible colours you can think of?

I like the ability to tag files. Biggest problem is it can't delete a file. If you check delete to recycle bin it just hangs the forever. If you uncheck recycle bin to delete permanently the file remains. I can't use it to clean up old unused files.

Crap I paid good money for something it says it does and it doesn't at all useless crap. Can't even read an sd card even though it says my internal storage us "sd card" waste if time and move dint download this s h ¡ t

Adding Dropbox account doesn't work. It stalls forever. Also the SFTP option fails after a few refreshes whether you use passive or active mode. Please, please fix this. This could be a great application if these items worked. These are the reasons I paid for this. Again, please fix. I'm running on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

The SQLite editor has a beautiful interface but it fails to edit confidently! When I get to a field I want to edit the wrong value is resident and I'm afraid to change it as I'm sure I will break something else

Every time I change my SD card FE doesn't open popup windows asking me to grand permissions to it. So I need to clear data for FE and thus loosing all my settings, SMB connections, etc. Any way to force that popup?? Phone reset didn't help. PS: Support is non existent. Opened a ticket 3 weeks ago no reply yet. Stay away from this app, there are other alternatives.

Lots of great features and they all work well. The only problem FOR ME is that it's a single pane app. Since I do a lot of file management that costs me beucoup time. If your files are not in a hierarchical structure this is a great file manager. I'm organized so I don't use many of the features found in this app. I'll stick with Total Commander. It's not pretty but it gets the job done faster than anything else, usually by a large amount. If this ever becomes dual pane I'll be back.

The WebDAV file manager cannot look into folders which names have a space in them. It just says "Can not recognise the target folder". Too bad looked like one of the better WebDAV clients out there.

Early versions of this app worked great but the user interface has become progressively worse over time. Since the upgrade to Nougat it has become even more unusable. Uninstalling it.

It is really a good file manager app and it has a modern design. I was actually thinking of switching to this from ES and getting the No ads purchase but this lacks the option to directly share a file through Wifi from the share screen. That's the only one missing as I use that daily, it would be a lot cleaner and better than ES.

Trying to avoid ES (a horribly invasive and resource burning app), which burned up over 1GB secretly in the background in less than 2 weeks. So far it's better than the 15 others I've tryed. Would be great if it didn't force a pop up every time I plug in USB; Why even ask the question: "Do you want to use File Expert as default?" (which I don't) - when you don't make the provision to answer "No"? That's just rude; when I find another file manager, I'll uninstall for this reason.

The only thing I hate about this app is that it requests permission to access the external SD card every single time I use it. Why can't it just do this one time, only?!

No root explorer what a joke not one of the most advanced file managers one of the most useless file managers false advertising no updates since 2016 basically useless for Android 6.0 and up and they're not updating ripped off! Does not work with any new Android phone you can buy today that is rooted and running an operating system that is not an antique

I just mounted a new external SD, and the app is unable to authorise it. Searched the web and official website for clues, but nothing yet. Can anybody help?

Had an issue with write protected files, app deleted them with minimal fuss. Definitely going into my tool box for difficult file ops.

I have to admit, I'm glad they heard me and others and also updated to a very impressive app. Doesn't let the user slow down. Also gets the job done. I've always love android for system access. Thank you for helping me out

Sftp is terrible and doesn't work. Silly phone permissions required. Pro key is tied to a phone , not an account. Not recommend

GREAT ! LOVE ABILITY TO SEE SD CARDS, NETWRK. SHARES, AND CLOUD STORAGE IE. GOOGLE DRIVE, BOX, DROPBOX, ETC.! I'D LOVE TO SEE FEATURES ADDED LIKE TREE VIEWS, DUAL FOLDER VIEWS, DUPLICATE FILE SEARCH, GRAPHICAL FOLDER/FILE VIEWS SHOWING SPACE USAGE, AND THE ABILITY TO CHANGE COLORS, ICONS, FONTS, ETC. OF THE UI ! THOSE FEATURES WOULD JUST CARRY THIS APP OVER TGE TOP IN MY BOOK!

Although this is the phone version of the program, I prefer it on my tablet to the tablet version. It's also great on my phone. It's powerful, intuitive, and easy-to-use.

I don't know why but the animations don't feel that smooth... Like low fps. Deleting feels slow as well.

Great UI. However, connection with Dropbox isn't working and there's no direct file transfer like in File Expert HD. As of now, I have to use FTP which is cumbersome and a waste of time. I don't know if devs listen to users comments but there are going flaws in this new version.

What is wrong with the fast file download? Used to be great. Now its Garbage! Can't download anything. Continuously getting "Download failed " as soon as I share with file expert. Sticking with ES file explorer. Yes it's much slower, but at least it gets the job DONE! Uninstalling this POS!
