Layton’s Mystery Journey

I love puzzles and the layton series and this exactly like the 3ds games so I love it so much. It makes me miss Professor Layton and Luke. One thing tho I wish we could guess who the culprit is instead of Katriele tells us who it is. I wish there's questions like who did it and what method did they use and something like that. That would be more fun. But overall it's amazing. I'm loving the daily puzzle too. Getting puzzles every day is fun

An incredible app, which puts all other apps in their place! An exceptional adventure with a genuinely well written storyline. Puzzles are not like those other apps' puzzles; these are so well designed. Without adverts, no lag, no paytowin; just an outstanding game. The 5-star review system doesn't do it justice! 10/5!

+ Fun puzzles, nice graphics and good controls. - Bit too manga like, very long dialogue and 'odd' storylines The creators of this game have done a great job turning a Nintendo game into a mobile game. The gameplay isn't as great as I hoped it would be: the puzzles are quite easy, but the images that are shown above the puzzles are not always clear (I sometimes thought the picture was related to the puzzle, but it wasn't). The introduction and 'storyline' take up a long time and are often quite odd. The graphics are quite cool, but the old style of the game has turned into some sort of manga story more than the original classic looking graphics, which is a shame. The controls are well done.

This game is a masterpiece. They've built a game with the polish of Azran Legacy with the laid back feel of Curious Village and added genuinely brilliant humour and some really touching moments alongside a new vast collection of puzzles that are brilliant. Imagine if more big companies developed serious time and energy into crafting these sorts of games, not dependent on in app purchases or waiting to steal as much money from you as possible, mystery journey puts those games to shame. Worth every penny.

Amazing and exactly the same style than every other Layton game for DS/3DS. It really feels like a REAL console game and not a simple mobile game. The only "bad" thing I could say about it is that the battery runs out a bit too quickly when using it.

As a huge layton fan this is the best game ever. I used to play the original trilogy on my ds and this was a nice addition to the series. The puzzles are just as mind boggling as the originals and the art style reminds me of the old games. I love it to bits

I've played all the Layton games within the series on my DS so I was a little worried that this would be released on mobile first... but I can honestly say that I am very impressed with the gameplay and the graphics

Finally a Layton game on the mobile! The control fits well with the dual screen which is similar to the original game. The price might seems pricey at first, but with full content and additional bonus content of daily puzzles over the period of a year (365 puzzles), it's definitely worth the money. There's in game purchase which comes in the form of costume, which really does lock content behind extra purchases so it's OK for me

Great game, but crashes a lot. And because of the way the game saves I find myself having to redo puzzles and rewatch big sections of text just to get back to where I was. Hopefully this will be fixed soon

I've played all the layton games, and it seems they just keep getting easier. The game tells you exactly where to go next, who to talk to next, you don't have to think to solve the mysteries and even so you see the answer coming a mile away. I remember being stumped by some of the puzzles in the earlier games, but in this one I'm solving 40-50 picarat puzzles in seconds. I understand the game also has to be playable by a younger/less puzzle savvy audience. But maybe it would be nice to have a harder difficulty setting for those who want a challenge.

Excellently made. Best phone app out there, however I was slightly disappointed to find the puzzles somewhat less challenging that previous games. It kinda took the steam out of the gameplay

Excellent adaptation of the Layton formula to smartphones. Nice.and crisp graphics, solid production values. Costume IAP is a bit overpriced, but the base game is well worth the money.

I was happily playing the game, it is such a fantastic addition to the Layton series. However Midway through case 3 the game stopped when I was talking to Emiliana. So I closed the app, and when I reopened it, the game started from the very start, as if I had just installed it, having to accept the terms etc. and all my nine hours of progress, all the puzzles I've solved are all gone. Don't let this put you off installing in the game, as it is great fun, and if you create a level 5 account and save regularly then this problem may not happen to you. However this glitch put me back to square one

An awesome game, I worried how the made for 3DS title would work on mobile and aside from having to turn it for video cutscenes which all run landscape, the answer is fantastically. Touch controls actually feel more natural than with the stylus on 3DS and the price point is spot on. Outfits and puzzles along with them are priced as microtransactions until we see what microtransactions the 3DS version has it should be assumed this is to make up the discount vs 3DS RRP.

After 3 years of the release of Layton x Phoenix Wright, I thought that Layton franchise is already ended. But then, this is suddenly releasing and having a direct continuity from the previous trilogy. Gameplay is decent, graphic and movie is much better than 3DS version. Thank you so much level-5 for the earlier birthday gift

It's a great game with fantastic and innovative puzzles,but i feel that there shouldn't be an extra $20-30 or so of extra puzzles + skins,or at the very least would it be possible to SEPERATE the skins and puzzle packages or give bundle discounts?

Finally another installment into the Layton series... And it's just as good if not better than the previous titles

Great jump to mobile for Layton games! If you've played a previous Layton game and enjoyed it than this will be well worth the price!

IAPs failed, but money is withdrawn from my banking account. What do I do now?

Great game so far, however no sound at all. All permissions have been granted and both game and phone volume are on max but still nothing. Would love to give this 5☆ otherwise.

I have a standard S8 and the game is telling me my device is rooted or modified so I can't start it. Any idea why this would be?

Incredibly polished. Feel like you're playing the same franshise as in the DS&3DS. Also, the storyline is very interesting.

Female Thor? Female Master? Female Doctor? And now female Layton? What's next, female WOMEN?! Still cross it needs unroot but it's definitely a full featured Layton game on android!
