The Camera rig is not right on this one, massive eye fatigue. I'm running a Pixel 2 XL with Daydream View. Also the portal-based movement is not immersive at all. The dev should have a look at the Daydream Elements test app and consider adopting the "Tunneling" movement presented. It's too bad because the content looks amazing, I'll keep an eye to see if they update.

This game could be good... But you walk around by teleporting your self from one point to another. It really kills the immersion. They could have used the touch pad to walk around like some other games does and the game would be immersive, scary and good. Now you just click somewhere... Appear there and books fall from the shelves... No reactions from me... I just keep clicking further and wait until I bored.

The depth in this game is horrible. I got through the first chapter and ended with a horrible headache because it was so hard for my eyes to focus because of the horrible depth. Developer, please update this with a depth that isn't terrible. I'd love to actually play this.

Reviews are exaggerating the pitfalls of the teleportation mechanic IMO; it actually works pretty well. The only issue I have is that you can't zoom in far enough to properly read letters, making them a real pain on the 1080p Pixel. This would be an easy 5 stars if the devs just let us zoom in farther, the game is fantastic otherwise.

Really immersive experience, graphics and sound is good and it's allows the player to explore the creepy house well. One thing I would say is that's its not always clear what the player has to do to move on and you can find yourself wasting time in areas. Overall happy with the game.

I have not yet finished but am highly enjoying. However, it's important to note that this is more of an interactive movie experience instead of a "game". There is no level of difficulty and no skill required. You move where it shows you can and you interact with what is highlighted. The being said, this is a terrifying and wonderful experience. It's like working your way through a 360 movie or visual book. It is "point and click", and I wouldn't even qualify it as a puzzle game, but if you want a scary, fun experience with a story that is intriguing enough to keep you playing despite knowing how scared each click will make you. I would recommend this. I purchased it hoping it would frighten me and I have been far, far from disappointed.

On Google Pixel 2 xl with Daydream, terrible experience. I own PlayStation VR as well and this is the only VR game that has given me an instant headache. Cross eyed instantly to view it properly.

Brilliant.. somebody(s) has put their heart and soul (assuming they have one!) into this one, full of the sort of stuff that is really hard work to pull off, and they "killed it". Definitely the best experience on daydream currently imho. I don't mind the point and click, and I can see how the mechanics would be difficult otherwise. My only criticism is the advert graphics, which are incredibly corny with the blood splatter, put me off for a while. This game isn't corny, it's more like an even darker Myst.

I am a huge fan of this adaptation of a great console psychological horror game. The issues I have with the game is that image quality when reading the notes is so grainy and blurry that I can't read them even at close view (I wish there was a feature like in the console version that overlays plain text so it can be read)and some of the image quality of the environment can be grainy as well, but these issues are minor and do not take away from the overall VR experience. Overall this game is a very polished and amazing horror experience that I believe any VR enthusiast will truly love. This game I would recommend that everyone should purchase and play on this platform.

Jump scares ok but just going from room to room without really knowing what's going on as text is almost impossible to read

This has bad controls, bad scares, and bad graphics.

An awesome adaptation of an already awesome game! The latest updates are really making this a great game. While I STILL believe teleportation is NOT the way. Let me make a proposition. If you insist on using that poor mechanic, don't black out when moving. A lot of cool stuff is missed while events trigger immediately after blackout. Animated walking to destinations like sisters would be a LOT better. But I would still love free movement as an option. Also, notes are unreadable. Narrate or subtitle

I'm really disappointed that this game doesn't have different movement options. It feels like a point and click game. It takes away a lot of scare factor for me unlike it's PC version. I get it that people are prone to motion sickness but there's people like myself that are immune or gotten use to it. Every vr game needs to have control options to fit everyone's preference. But they already have my money so they wouldn't care.

Man... I hate to give this such a low rating as I loved the console/PC version and was looking forward to the VR experience, but this is really bad. The resolution is super low and strains your eyes. I can VR all day long but 20 minutes in and I had a screaming headache and my eyes were tired from straining to see. The found notes are also unreadable. Zooming in is clunky and even when zoomed all the way are hard to read. And yes, before you ask, I have decent eyesight and don't wear glasses.

I agree with Richard. I love that the game is is built around making a creepy ambience. It looks good and plays well. I hate the teleport *mild spoiler* .... Bc of that mechanic the jump scares are literally triggered by teleporting in to a square. So briefly after starting a game you just become prepared after any teleport or opening any door. That type of movement really defeats the purpose of VR and pulls you out of the whole realism of it.

The game so far is great, with a few minor exceptions. On the Pixel XL, even with the higher resolution, it's difficult to read some of the text on the pages throughout the game. The FOV also makes everything seem much closer than they should be, and makes for an odd-feeling. In darker areas, one eye can sometimes become much darker than another, making ill-fitting images and causing blurriness. If these things were fixed, it would go a long way to making the game much, much better.

HELP! Stuck in an elevator in chapter 5. The elevator gets stuck half way the lights go red and the trap door above me opens up but then there is absolutely nothing to click. I've reset it twice, if this is the end of the game getting trapped in an elevator for eternity then I want my money back!!! All of my progress was for nothing now. Feels like I wasted my money.
