What are users saying about VERSUS: The Lost Ones

by E####:

A true astonishment. Usually, in choice games, you're able to see the paths laid out clearly before you. However, they always try and obscure the paths or make it less obvious to increase immersion. Some do it better than others but VERSUS actually embraces these paths. ENCOURAGES you to stick to one, and completely utilizes and rewards the ability to stick to your beliefs and chosen playstyle. Enjoy the experience. I know I did, and will continue to.

Ok. Where to go? I thought it was much better overall than Redemption Season, no arbitrary stat issues (very good), and I liked the unique use of ChoiceScript. Agendas, I liked that it specifically dealt with natural hermaphrodites (had a friend, so I appreciate the focus), but I didn't like how springing a surprise in that situation was glossed over. Very not cool in reality. Also really disliked how our character could only react positively and promote the binuman. Docked 2 ☆ for those two things.

Zachary Sergi, what can I say... simply that I'm totally consumed by his stories! So much variable content, emotion, tension and fun! And even though it might seem linear (it's a book, you know... try reading LotR over and over... that's not as much fun), "the ends justify the means"! ;-) And slugging blergh you if you say otherwise! :-)

Strange and a little chaotic at first, which is to be expected and feels deliberate. After the first step it really starts picking up and running away with the concept in a great way. I am engrossed in the story and intend to immediately get the second volume. It will be depressing when I finish that and realize I have to wait for the next.

Despit the confusing (alien) words,,,, and the use of ambiguous pronouns (that me being a man who doesn't spend there life on tumblr (no offence) found confusing. (Ze hir to name 2 ) But it is an astonishing story that keeps you drawn in.

Creator has an agenda with his writings. While this isn't as bad as HP:RS, it's included enough where a guy like me notices. Considering the price tag, I only recommend this to people with $4 they don't mind parting with. This is currently a strike 2 after Hero Project 2 and the next Versus installment is the last chance I can give the author

Great game. Btw don't get to comfy with breeze.

It appears this series is made specific to generate money not only by copying the choose your own adventure books but also by adding in micropurchases that deny the full game to anyone not willing to pay the abitrary ammounts the creators demand. Do not buy, it is not worth it. The writing has improved over the older games yet this only seems to have encouraged money Grubbing behavior

It's OK. But the story IMHO is not as good as some other games from this publisher.

Hero's Rise was one of my favorite CoG series, so I knew I was in for something awesome, and Versus far exceeded those expectations. Very well written and I'm excited for more! Keep up the good work!

I am very impressed with this game, but considering the author's other works I probably shouldn't be so surprised at how much I enjoy this work. 10/10

The storyline is intriguing and interesting but i think there was just too much information and dissection of the choices. Its too easy to see where each choice will take you.

Holy sheit (excuse language) this is by far the best choice of game ive played for mutiple reasons i just love how it seems to start slow but it gains more and more traction and the story constantly seems to be evolving from just a simple person fighting a crazy tar creature race to discovering many more powerful and divine characters and great diplomatic choices i feel like you took the complex decison making from meta human added a very intricate and expanding plot like choice of robots and added sincere well thought out and satisfying romance similar to choice of romance its so great taking all these great aspects from other choice of games and smashing them all together to create this thing of beauty and a amazing belif/cultural decisons you can make about the game adored the game cant wait to get the second

This Choice of Games game was really well written! The story line and all the connecting pieces actually left me speechless. The fact that this writer was able to create a universe and implicate time travel into the story was very impressive. I got really engrossed into story and couldn't put it down! I hope the writer continues to make content of this caliber. very well done! However I do wish there was a little more character customization That's the only issue I have. Other than that, five Stars!

Picked this up to hold me over until the next Heroes Rise, but ended up loving it even more. It took a couple chapters to really grab me, since it takes a little while to introduce the world and backstory, but once it gets past that, it's impossible to put down. Fantastic characters and plot, plenty of great twists, just so much going on in, and it definitely felt like I was in control of my character and choices, and they actually mattered. Definitely one of the best few games COG has to offer so far.

I cannot say i have had an experience like that of verses. The only thing that bums me out about having purchased it is that i cannot binge play the yet to exist episodes. I am surprised to have found an outlet that feels stimulating expressive and self explorative simultaneously in a format like this. Besides the next episodes i would like to see a interactive customizable portfolio of sorts that documents and makes visible the character i have influenced. Keep true to the original idea though. Thanks.

Imagine if prodigal isn't dead she just got taken to versus. That would be the best plot twist ever!

Of all the Choice of Games out there, this is the one whose sequels I await the most eagerly. Drama and intrigue, war and politics, passion and romance, Versus has everything you want in a story and I cannot wait for more!
