In the Letters Game, you'll first pick the 9 letters from the vowels and consonants and it's then down to you to make the longest word possible with what's available. Simply tap your selection and the appropriate letter will be added to the board.
- THE NUMBERS ROUND
In this round, you'll be putting your maths skills to the test. You must first tap 6 tiles which you will use in your calculations to reach the randomly picked three digit target number. Once the clock is started all you need to do is tap the numbers and mathematical symbols to create the process of making your numbers.
- COUNTDOWN CONUNDRUM
This is the final round, where once more you're against the Countdown clock. This time you're trying to solve the Conundrum, which is nine jumbled-up letters. These are actually an anagram of a nine-letter word, and it is this word that you have to find! You only have the time on the clock, so once you know it, buzz in.

They are not random. 4 As no other vowel is just one example. And the score does not reset properly after a game.

I tried to buy this for my grandson but get a message saying this developer is unable to accept payment at this time and "try later". As there is no way to pay and no trial version to download this is a non-app and should be removed until the problem is sorted. I have given one star as there is no option for no stars.

The letters aren't weighted as they are on the show, I've gotten 3 z's and an x in one round before. Similarly, the numbers game is mostly atrociously easy requiring you to simply add 2 of your numbers together. Fix it.

The look of the app is good, but if you actually want a brain workout you don't get it. The letters game favours a disproportionate number of tricky letters like X, Z, Q on the same turn making it virtually impossible to make words. (I had 3 X's on one go). As for the numbers game, it is far too easy. I kept getting things like "make 109" when both 100 & 9 had come out as tiles. Now I know this can happen occasionally, but it seemed to happen nearly every go. Shame as it has potential to be so much better.

I haven't read any other reviews but from my experience the numbers rounds are too easy and the letter rounds always come up with many multiples and really poor letters. It seems impossible to score higher than 7 from the shocking consonants and repetitive vowels. Disappointing.

Downloaded this in the hope that some of the negative reviews were exaggerated. Alas, they weren't. Such a shame as it's a good game but you need to sort the issue with the letters. In one round, I had 2 x V, 1 x Z, 1 x Q and 1 x X for goodness sake!

It's a shame but this game has been poorly developed. The letter randomizer appears to be broken. Most of the time you end up with more than 1 obscure letter and it seems to favour repeat letters. For example you will more often than not be in a situation where it picks out 3 X's and 3 e's in the same round, which seems to be something that rarely occurs on the TV show. The other issue is that the dictionary appears to be broken too. Told me 'yum' is not a word then offers 'minxy' with no definition.

Galaxy S3. Seems like no option to switch sound off which is pretty odd and seriously limits usage. Can only seem to play when holding the phone landscape on one side. Letters are smaller than they should be and don't look like the letters on the show. Animations not great quality. All in all it looks like a pretty rushed job and could do with a facelift.

As many have suggested, the game falls short on the fundamentals. Almost every round will at least have one obscure letter like j, q, z,x , k most of the time it will be 2 of these. And you seem to get more u's and o's than e's and I's the graphics are good. If they improve the gameplay I would happily rate it 5 stars

Letters are randomly generated using an algorithm that means Z is as likely as N. They should be weighted according to their frequency in English words. As it is done in the TV show.

...On the iphone. Having played this on my friends iphone I was delighted when it came out on android. Its actually the first app i ever paid for. I was so disappointed by the poor effort at android version. The biggest phone OS deserves a proper app rather than trying to do it the cheap using bits from i phone version. Everything is wrong. Not as smooth as i phone. Crashes regularly. Letter weighting is non existent. How many Q's, U's and Z's are there. Numbers are always gettable and far far too easy.

The letters favour Q, X, J, Z etc. far more than the television show does. The numbers round is always possible and simple. The dictionary does not know some common words. This game could be great but at the minute it is disappointing.

The game is well presented however, there is an issue where slightly unusual letter combo's come out that don't reflect the show (getting Q, U, U, D, S, F, I, Z, X, G etc) and the target amount in the math round is way too easy to achieve.

Looks like countdown but when you draw sets of letters such as "WQUUZUBIF" and then get congratulated for the word "FIB" the TV show would be laughed off the air!! Until the letter randomiser is improved, don't waste your time or money on this! Also, all of the 4 + 5 star reviews have no comments, I smell a rat!

This app is spoiled by a rubbish random letter generator which gives equal probability to every letter. Not worth playing until this is fixed as it's nearly impossible to get more than a five letter word. Plus it's too easy to abandon the game by accident.

Scores do not tally correctly. Playing 2 player after 1 player and score from previous game adds on giving me a 34 point headstart. Requires work.
