About Real Hitori - All puzzles free

If you enjoy Sudoku you will love Hitori. Unlike Sudoku, all numbers are given in the grid. The objective is to eliminate numbers by filling in the squares such that remaining cells do not contain numbers that appear more than once in either a given row or column.

Filled-in cells cannot be horizontally or vertically adjacent, although they can be diagonally adjacent. The remaining un-filled cells must form a single component connected horizontally and vertically.

Real Hitori is a very elegant game, providing fabulous gameplay experience.

- Clean board, providing hours of pleasure gameplay;
- Handmade unique challenging games. All games and categories were designed to fit a 9x9 board without compromising quality and the need of zooming;
- No locked levels. Play whatever you want whenever you want;
- Autosave game. You don't need to worry if you don't have much time to play. It will automatically save all unfinished games;
- Simple menu context. Your game is just a few clicks away;
- No in app music. You can play while listening your own music library;
- High definition graphics;

Steep LC but simple after you figure out how to play. Usually review after 30+ games. This app is pushy, forces rating / review after 3 games. Would have rated to 4 except for this.

R70%
by R####:

There is no way I can figure out why my way of solving is wrong.. no hint or information on how many tiles are wrong.. it seems game does not have right algo..

R70%
by R####:

Graphic design takes this down a star as the typeface is not the best for staring at rows of digits. The app is great otherwise. It runs smoothly, the variety and difficulty of the puzzles are good, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm bored of sudoku, so I try this game. Turned out to be fun puzzle game. Edit : just lost my progress because I got a new phone. Developer, please add cloud sync so that I won't lose my progress again if I change phone again.

Just finished the first 3 puzzles of 'Easy' level...I think that Hitori is much simpler when compared to Sudoku but of course I have to finish the 'Challenging' and 'Extreme' to really comment whether Hitori is easier than Sudoku. I recommend the app developers to add Hints so that it becomes easier to solve tough problems and we might learn a few tricks of the trade.

With no back button, you can't correct your mistakes unless you remember all the previous steps. I uninstalled after having to restart multiple games.

No doubt the game is brilliant, but the information provided is not sufficient to understand how to play. So I request to provide the full rule of play. Some game logic is missing from you to explain.

Very relaxing. Easy and organized interface. Excellent logic game for lunch breaks or down times.

To help those with instructions: 1) where it mentioned two can't be next to each other means that no two BROWN squares can touch 2) and you CANNOT BLOCK a path for all WHITE or YELLOW tiles because those NEED to touch. Hope that helps.

by R####:

Having never played Hitori before, I was initially taken aback by the "Easy" level. Because of the easy and clear controls I quickly got into it.

A70%
by A####:

Fact that there is no button to go back and change your last few moves and instead having to reset the whole game is a big negative

W70%
by W####:

Nice and simple to play. Would be better to have daily challenges.

T70%
by T####:

It's a good game, but it needs a few adjustments. 1. Some puzzles can be solved in more than one way, but the game ONLY accept THEIR answer. 2. There isn't an "undo" button (if you made a mistake a few steps in the past, then you can't go back; you must restart the entire game). 3. The instructions should've stated that some repeated numbers in the same row can ALL be brown. I wish those things could be fixed, then I would gladly give a higher rating.

Tutorial would be nice since "How to Play" directions are a little confusing. Also, maybe giving a "hint" button that indicates how many errors are on the board. I have (#1 Easy) board where I have no idea still what is incorrect and have reworked it 7 times to no avail.

C70%
by C####:

Like the game. 4 stars because the puzzles are hardcoded instead of generating them. I'll eventually run out of puzzles. Other than this, nothing to object. Thank you Dev! :)

W70%
by W####:

Could be fun if we could figure it out. Need a tutorial, or show us our mistakes on the first couple levels so we know where we messed up, and explain why our solution in not correct. PLEASE Starting to figure it out, but have yet to find a solution for puzzle 7 on easy mode.

This is one of my favorite Japanese puzzle games. The game itself is very functional. However the only things keeping it from five stars are the graphics and the awkward style of selecting boxes when you are trying to narrow down which numbers are shaded and unshaded. I would prefer a different selection style. Such as tap on a number once for unshaded, maybe circled (my personal preference). And tap again for shaded. Then hold down on a box to erase circles and shading. Instead of cycling through 3 choices

I've played hitori on the web for years so I know how to play. And I can solve every puzzle on medium, but starting with hard, there seem to be unsolvable puzzles. In fact, #23 seems to have 2 solutions and neither register as correct. I've restarted it several times and always get to the same result. I agree with other reviewers that the puzzles should be randomly generated and there should be a way to check progress or determine what's wrong if the puzzle won't complete.

S70%
by S####:

Minor quibbles...Would be nice if there was a way to "bookmark" the puzzle, so you could try a solution and go back if it was wrong. Also, once the level is selected, would be nice if it went directly to the last page selected (like puzzles 41-60) as in Real Kakuro. Finally, it needs many more puzzles, I've solved them all, and need my fix.

C70%
by C####:

Be nice if there was a way of noting options so you can go back and change them instead of committing yourself and then having to start the whole thing over if it goes wrong

A70%

Puzzles of all levels of difficulty. Excellent implementation. Does have really annoying ads.

I love puzzle games but I've been bored with all of the ones I usually play. I'm really glad I found this game, it's exactly what I was looking for! It's really different and new, and it's a great puzzle game

Only make Justified marks, and you may have to think 4 or 5 moves out, even on "Easy" level. Challenging to this Newcomer to the game.

Would like an option to see mistakes.

Cud have 'tip' button showing repeating numbers that needs to be blacked out. We end up spending lots of time finding which number is pending to be blacked.

Awesome game , but I wish you'd add the ability to check ur answers . I would like to have sound effects ,.WITUOUT music , but nice effort on ur part .

The app in itself is okay...I wish there were options available to "pencil" and "undo"... also many puzzles have multiple solutions but only 1 is accepted by the app. THE WORST PART OF THIS GAME IS THAT IT DRAINS MY PHONE BATTERY LIKE CRAZY EVEN WHEN PLAYING WHILE PLUGGED IN TO CHARGER...GAME ALSO MAKES MY PHONE OVERHEAT TO WHERE IT'S TOO HOT TO TOUCH AND WILL AUTO SHUTDOWN TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE...THAT'S CRAZY!

I love puzzles, and hitori is one of them. This is simple and easy to use, and there are a bunch of them to do. I'll be busy for a while.

...but I had to google for the rules: not only the ones written in the game aren't clear, but they also spoil some game strategies I would have liked to deduce myself. Thus, ppl, download the game and google the rules: the game's addictive!
