This is the first release in a new mobile version of the PC series Modern Campaigns. This first release covers the historical North Vietnamese offensive in the Quang Tri province in the spring of 1972. 14 scenarios are included of which you play 9 as the commander of the North Vietnamese forces while in the other 5 scenarios you are commander of a hypothetical US Marine force sent to assist the South Vietnamese. Following this free release, there will be additional releases in this series each representing a smaller mobile version of the corresponding PC game.
Modern Campaigns is a detailed turn-based simulation of operational warfare after World War II through present day. It includes detailed rules and combat resolution but has a simple interface that allows the player to focus on strategy and tactics. A wide variety of unit types are represented including infantry, tanks, artillery, and engineers. In addition, modern warfare is addressed in this game engine including chemical and nuclear warfare, electronic warfare (signal intelligence and jamming), and thermal sights.
While this version of Modern Campaigns will run on large-format Android phones, it is best on an Android tablet with screen size of 7 inches or more.

It needs more scenarios for the US, and also needs more US units besides the 1st Marine Div. I would rate 5 stars if I see naval units such as USS Enterprise, USS New Jersey and etc.

These guys don't make a bad product. Superlative game. I don't know how they pulled this off while they were simultaneously rolling out the excellent Shiloh module. Their engine has proven to be endlessly adaptable to virtually any era. Can't wait to see where this particular series goes. Tet? Khe Sanh? Hue? Now guys, how about some Naval offerings?

Great port, price is right. But the ai is hopeless in all of john tillers software, and without a proper opponent there's not much reason to play for long. Historically it is not accurate enough to be a study aid so i can't see reason to give it 5 stars.

I'll pass and stick to my PC version of these games that look proper thanks. 2D view is the most outdated and lack of information mode in these Tiller Games. To me this is NOT the full and proper version of the game thus a rip off. Give us 3D counter mode back and maybe you have a deal

I was unaware of John's work till I discovered it on android. I went to his website & discovered he's been at it for years, a treasure trove of wargames! From what I've sampled it's all well done & addicting. Please publish the rest of your work on android sir, it's easily the best wargames on this platform.
