LEARNING

Science Leaders is an entertaining game that helps students: improve reading, learn about science and history, engage in critical thinking, boost motivation to learn, and get introduced to new science careers.

•Features ethnically diverse scientists with primary focus on African Americans, Latinos and women, who are underrepresented in STEM education and careers.

•A good resource for Black History Month to encourage learning about African American scientists and inventors.

•Teachers, homeschoolers, parents and enrichment program directors will want to assign students the mobile game app to take advantage of the ubiquity of mobile devices in the lives of kids and teens today.

•After playing the game several times in an attempt to achieve the highest possible score, players will come to know each of the 30 science leaders and at least one of their accomplishments.

•To extend this new knowledge, curiosity and interest from playing the game, infuse curricula with follow up lessons in science, reading, writing, geography, history and life skills in an engaging way.

•To assist with with learning, KidPositive is releasing later this year the TellMeWhoIAm Science Leaders Learning Kit, and the Science Leaders mobile game will be a key resource in that curriculum for teachers and parents.

•Although the game can and should be played by the entire family, the primary target age group for educational purposes is 9-14.

ADDING NEW GAME LEVELS

We will add new levels to the game to make it increasingly fun and challenging as well as introduce new Tell Me Who I Am games in the future.

In this ubiquitous market of superheroes it is refreshing to have characters of color engaging kids in science, history and culture in entertaining and thought provoking ways. Hopefully this is the tipping point for activities that educate, as well as entertain. congratulations Kid Positive on a job well done.!

The thing I really like about this app is it makes learning about scientists nobody ever heard of actually kinda fun. Whoever learned about Patricia Bath or George Washington Carver in school? Not me. I'm wondering if maybe they should lock each level until you master each one first. Only level 6 is locked now. Think about it.

Okay I'm impressed. This is a very well thought out game and effectively uses learning through repetition. I can see how it would make students learn without them really thinking too much about it. Plus it's nice to see so many diverse scientific geniuses that most of us probably know nothing about.

More challenging than I thought....this game forces you to learn....even a genius like me. Lol. I'm still trying to get to Bonus Level 6. Good job!

Cool learning game. Took me a minute to figure out why Level A has more points than Level B. I guess it would have helped to read How To Play- yeah right who does that? Anyway this would be a fun game for school instead of some of the boring science assignments I get. Takes a while to figure out how to get past level 5. Love to see what other levels they add.

I like this app for its kind of 'mastermind' approach to learning. The information the child is being taught is reinforced by the next learning task and so on... This is a companion app for the film and a fun way to learn about many of the unsung heroes of science. I use it with my daughter in a home-schooling classroom. It is invaluable to our learning. A++ to the developer.

This is a fantastic interactive game that will engage children in learning about some of the most influential innovators. From the graphics/design to the theme music, this game is a great addition to any kids home-screen.  If you have a child I definitely recommend you have them download this game. It just lead to them becoming an innovator themselves. Two thumbs up! Joseph
