Don't bother with this inferior copy, play the real Hoplite. This dev should be ashamed at copying something so blatantly.

Y70%
by Y####:

This game's trial period is very brief. That suggests that the mechanics do not become more complex as the game progresses or that the content pool is small. As others mentioned, this feels like a less polished hoplite

S70%
by S####:

Rage mechanic is silly.

Y70%
by Y####:

It's very similar to hoplite, just better. The inventory and skill system adds a lot to the game. Only issue us that the free version is really really short, I'd give 5 stars for an infinite mode in the free version.

Found it enjoyable and interesting, bout all can say, didn't grab me as a buy but maybe for others, not bad

Y70%
by Y####:

Basically hoplite but with two players, different abilities, items and new enemies.

S70%
by S####:

An intriguing but all together worse version of Hoplite, the masterpiece by Magma Fortress. It even takes the same mechanics for combat and movement. However the elements that it introduces -multiple units, bosses, items, more skills- often feel too unpolished to really add to the succinct experience that Hoplite provides. It really just feels like someone loved hoplite, sloppily recreated it, and then added a shitload of stuff to it. The result just feels off. E.g. Why does bashing take rage?

Make an easy mode or that every 10 levels get a power passive orb. And yes I paid.

I like a similar game called Hoplite. This needs some work on the game interface

S70%

Nice try, but a rogue game that you die all the time but get nothing to upgrade your gameplay is just boring.

I have played this game for ages now. Totally in love with it. Decided to get the premium version. So glad I paid the 80p cuz it's so worth it.

After the last update today, the bottom of the screen is cut off. I can't fully access the main menu or buttons at the bottom of the screen. Part of it is that the little android "..." Soft key Menu button is covering the bottom. Using a keyocera hydrolife. Android 4.3 jelly bean.

I was enjoying it but the controls are pretty annoying, kept moving to the wrong tiles. Would probably be fine on a larger screen. Another problem, the title screen seems to be in Russian and I'm having to remember what button does what :D

Great successor to Hoplite. The only thing that marred this game is translation. Dev, I'd be happy to help correct grammar and diction, but I do not know any Russian. Please contact me for this. I'd do it for free.

To be fair. Hoplite was less of a piece of interactive media and more like a lesson in good hands mechanics. It lacked world and plot and story. Admittedly, I thought that the development team would have been the same, some things are just plain ripped off.. But hoplite didn't finish a real game and I feel that tales of a Viking finishes what hoplite should have.

N70%
by N####:

Yes, it is definitely a more intense Hoplite. And yes it is done very very well. Would there be a chance that immersive mode will be added? I'd love to see this game full screen. Good work. This is a great game.

one of the best smartphone RPGs I've played, the difficulty is just perfect, and you don't get bored of replaying it

X70%
by X####:

The game is great with very high replayable value which makes it quite addicting... The game design is good but the graphics make it pretty hard to proceed... Do consider this...

Has even less levels too.

didn't think I would enjoy this game until I saw buddy's review over there say it was similar to hoplite, one of my favourites. so I installed it and it is a very well-done spiritual successor, I like the graphics style, animations, and how some of the concepts from hoplite were expanded on. some of the text needs to be checked for grammar and spelling mistakes, but other than that great job!

D70%
by D####:

I really like this game, as others say, it is a spiritual successor to hoplite. It adds that little more to hoplite to give it a longer playtime. Unfortunately, the graphics do hinder it a bit. While I get it that the graphics are supposed to be low res (8 bit or some such), they get in the way often. As others eluded to, it is hard to see details important to the levels. Also, I feel it could be tweaked is the play style... It seems it needs another 'mode'... another dimension to it. Something non-story.

H70%
by H####:

It's a great game, but the graphics make it hard to play. Can't tell some enemies apart, can't find my ax when I throw it. Update the graphics and this will be a 5 star game.

D70%
by D####:

I like the pixel art style, but no offense, the graphics suck when it comes to identifying character models. It's not clear what type of enemy your facing. Like the ranger is similar to the warrior enemy. You would have to look real hard. PLEASE increase the pixelated resolution for the characters! - Other than that, it is like Hoplite, but has some deep RPG mechanics. - Btw, I bought the game. I hope we will get a graphics option like did with Hoplite. Switching between legacy graphics vs HD graphics.

I just found a winner in this game. Love playing this.

T70%

Everything about this game seems great except for the fact that the skills, enemies, and even strategy was copied directly out of Hoplite. I already played Hoplite and enjoyed it, I was excited about this game til I saw it was just a rip off.
