Prison Architect, developed by Introversion Software, challenges players to build and manage a maximum security prison, from laying out cell blocks and inmate facilities, to managing staff pay and prisoner morale.
Prison designs will include basic necessities like cells, canteens, guard rooms, and infrastructure, but players can also include features like solitary confinement, workout areas, and even an execution chamber. The tablet version comes with enough to get started, with additional story-driven campaign chapters and more features available as premium content.
Prison Architect includes:
- Architect Mode: Build a prison and manage different prisoner types, inmate needs, and budgetary concerns
- Campaign Mode: Learn new prison-building techniques and get to know life behind bars through a series of cutscenes and objectives

App crashes after installing resources. Black screen after starting the app. On android tablet.ill update the review after a fix.

It's very promising. But there are some (teething) problems: for instance planning doesn't disappear after placing walls and I can't login to my paradox account to unlock more wardens (I either get a popup saying something went wrong or the game shuts down completely). I also really miss the PC feature of having objects suggested depending on the room you're centering on (having to scroll through the entire list is cumbersome) and being able to prioritise jobs. But I love being able to play my favourite game on the go, although it takes a bit of time getting used to the difference in controls, it also feels really familiar!

Is playable but needs some work.

When opening on a nexus 10 the controls are displayed at the wrong location. The controls are shifted up half of the screen height. The controls react when toughing the screen at the place where they should have been. Because half of the controls are not visible, the game is unplayable for now.
