Digger Classic - The authentic Digger experience.
This version of the good old DOS-game Digger, now on Android, is not a remake, but is based on the Java port (by Marek Futrega) of Andrew Jenner's reverse-engineered open-source version of Digger for DOS. This makes for an authentic Digger experience with exact gameplay, just as you remember it from the good old days. Eg bags will not fall down when moving up on them from below (and you may reverse-shoot when doing this).
The Android port is developed and made available by Runar Holen. It is provided free of charge and with no ads. For more info about Digger, visit http://www.digger.org/

This would be a great game if the fire button moved to the lower left and the control on the lower right. I dunno why the developer spent so many good hours to bring back this game from the heaven, but don't have the time to think about the control placement. This probably a coder thing ?

It is fun to play for memory's sake but the control bad is poor and so I ended up dying due to the controls being too slow. The fire button is also below the directions which is a silly place for it to be.

Brings back old memories of playing on VGA monitors.. but that is how far it goes bec of the controls... too slow/bad design could be better if replaced with a trackball type one while limiting the rotation.

Cannot look back and forth at controls... They SHOULD BE BOTTOM CENTER OF SCREEN died way way too fast because of poor placement.too bad cause I think I would love it...brings back the day!

Dude, your controls suck! Listen to the feedback and change some crap. Your fire button is on the same side, your controls are sluggish and you have to hit them right on or your digger just stops. Then you die. Not worth it even for memory sake. In fact thats the only reason i gave this 2 stars. Not because of you developer, but because of the trip down memory lane.

I was a demon at this game as a kid rarely using F1, but these controls are too tricky just for agile manoeuvring. It's hard to use instinctively with them being close together and delayed response. Great to see the game though, fond memories!

Digger was a goto title in our shareware floppy disk library, and the game play was always a challenge. These controls are even more awful. The directional controls are sluggish, but worse yet is that the directions and the fire key are on the same side of the screen. Terrible design. Not sure how this got past a play test.
