Cryptic Crosswords Puzzler

WORST. KEYBOARD. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never in my whole life have i ever seen a keyboard so TERRIBLE! FIX THIS NOW

Spent a long time creating pw & username which kept getting rejected & then realized I had to pay for puzzles. Going to try a different app.

A few CROSS words! What a clunky infuriating turd...Doesn't work OFFLINE because they need to ADVERTISE..Clunky, Greedy and Infuriating hassle to get your answer in ONLINE, takes ALL the joy from doing the crossword AND THEN monetises it beyond decency. I wouldn't use it for free! And it's ANYthing but free, they want money to change the background colour!(AND EVERYTHING ELSE TOO) I remember the good old days, when you'd buy the game once and all that stuff was INCLUDED? There's something wrong when changing a setting like background colour incurs a charge! I really would delete it even if free. You're better off buying a book of the Times crosswords and you don't lose the answers you write. Also that way you don't get NICKLED and DIMED every time you turn the page or check an answer or change a minor setting. MONETISING apps is a cynical AVARICIOUS business model, free PUBLIC LIBRARIES would never be invented today you'd be HIRING the book and paying a fee to read the last page. or leasing the books by weight! This is not recommended.

Really, no keyboard? Tapping through to get to the right letters is too bothersome when there are so many other applications to use instead

I enjoyed the puzzles but the keyboard is not user friendly, especially on a phone.

I was expecting cryptic clues which would make me think. I'm not just boasting but all the puzzles i tried , i could just start at 1A or whatever and work my way down in about 25 minutes or less without much thought. Slowed down by slightly awkward interface. It would suit someone who doesnt do cryptic crosswords without hints or an app..

Why it needs an internet connection on boot up is beyond me, but it does apparently - fix this and ill give you a 5 (maybe a 4)........It's actually by far the best set of cryptics I have found in an app. Ui is a little slow, but doesn't detract (for me at least) from the crosswords themselves. Not as much fun (or artful / witty) as times or guardian crosswords but not so far behind. I haven't paid for anything yet, so I obv don't find the background colour as offensive as a previous reviewer!

Great app and spent many hours on it but it locks up and you lose all your work! Happened to me twice and the first time I thought it was my fault so I lost 5 pounds but then went and bought 10 pounds worth of puzzles and lost them the same way. No help from the site so from 5 star to 1 star. Shame!

No longer able to log in via Facebook or email and the reset password I've tried 4 times and still doesn't work Good Puzzles but don't buy anything

Support is awesome and the puzzles are great!

Awkward compared to other similar apps

Challenging cryptic puzzles and a REALLY great screen layout and game GUI - the best I've seen anywhere for the small screen! I'd give it 5 stars if there were more games included and particularly if it were cheaper too buy more.

had completed quite a few puzzles, but since the upgrade I can't get in any more. Can't enter via FB or email without changing the settings from within the app, and the anonymous version just won't load so I can't get in to change the settings!! This was one of the few good cryptic crossword apps but, sadly, I'm about to uninstall :-(

Puzzles are ok, the excessive price of solution checking is not.

Why isn't there a keyboard option? Excessive tapping is really cumbersome when you are entering a word. You also have to purchase coins in order to check your answers for errors? Huh? Bye bye app!

Great puzzles of just the right level of difficulty. Keyboard input could use major overhaul though, it's like writing a text message 10 years ago!

Drains the battery quickly.

The keypad is too clumsy. There's plenty of space for a qwerty keyboard.
