It's not always about ad placement, many times its ad frequency! I started to play and a 5 sec video plays. Then I only play for 20 seconds if that because of the speed of game. I crash. Another 30 second video pops up. When that's over you go right back to the 5 sec video etc..... make videos so we have to watch them for a faster kite, or some other piece of equipment. Put yourself in the customers shoes.
