Progetto "S : L'esperimento di Guglielmo Marconi è un gioco per cellulari e tablet realizzato per il Marconi App Contest . Il concorso dal tema "La conquista della distanza" premia chi realizzerà l'app ufficiale della Fondazion Guglielmo Marconi per il Marconi Prize 2013.
L'app cerca di convogliare l'interesse dei giovani verso il personaggio di Guglielmo Maconi mescolando pertinenza storica ed ironia con uno stile grafico ispirato alle incisioni di inizio '900.
Nel 1895 Guglielmo Marconi, armato di telegrafo e aquilone, effettuò una delle prime trasmissioni di un messaggio senza fili a una distanza di pochi chilometri, una "S" inviata da Villa Griffone al di là di una collina nelle vicinanze.
In Progetto S ripercorreremo i test di trasmissione radio in ogni sua fase: la costruzione di una torre di ricezione, il "decollo" dell'aquilone che funge da trasmettitore, e la composizione del segnale tramite un telegrafo d'epoca. La buona riuscita di ogni parte detterà l'esito finale dell'esperimento: quanti chilometri percorreranno le vostre "S"? Diprende solo da voi! As a Marconi fan and Radio Amateur, I thought this would be great fun. However, on the mast building I found the left & right buttons didn't work and all pieces just ended up on the right hand side of my Galaxy Note tablet. I tried it several times and the game then just crashed to a black screen with no way out. Will have to uninstall. Also an option for English language would be good, as many of Marconi's experiments were conducted in Britain. Would reinstall if these things could be fixed.
