FINAL FANTASY V for the Android is here!

FINAL FANTASY V first debuted in 1992 as the fifth installment in the iconic FINAL FANTASY series. This wildly popular RPG was the first in the series to sell over two million copies.

This groundbreaking title allowed players to customize their characters with an unprecedented degree of freedom thanks to a new job and ability system that further improved and refined the job change system used in FINAL FANTASY III. The title also saw the introduction of more detailed and expressive 2D character models, which helped further fuel the player's imagination, making the story even more immersive and fun to play.

Story

Earth, water, fire, and wind...
These are the four crystals that bring peace and prosperity to the world,
but they have lost their power and are now on verge of destruction.

It all started with a strange change in the wind...

Sensing something ominous astir, the young traveler Bartz astride his chocobo, Princess Lenna of Castle
Tycoon, the mysterious Galuf, an old man with a bad case of amnesia, and the pirate captain Faris soon find that fate has brought the former strangers together.

With spirits fired by strong will and purpose, the four heroes set out on an epic adventure.

Great game and a wonderful version of it. FF5 is not one of my personal favorites when it comes to storyline it was kind of a step backwards compared to FF4 but gameplay wise it is amazing and it has 2 of the toughest bosses from the final fantasy series in it: neo shinryu and omega mk 2. That was the main reason i bought this game since i never owned the GBA version. And cant pass up a good challenge from the final fantasy series.

Final Fantasy V is arguably the most underrated Final Fantasy of them all. To play this on the phone, I thought it might be incredibly impractical, but the controls and gameplay and the graphics are excellent. The graphics and the new classes are what really make the same shine and stand up heart from its PlayStation predecessor. The cloud storage for game saves only seals the deal further for me. If you haven't played this Final Fantasy yet I highly recommend it. Hello I am slightly biased because this is my favorite Final Fantasy. If you like a class system with funny and fairly deep character development, play this game.

Very good port, what with combining all of the extra content from all the previous releases along with -finally- adding gamepad support. Fantastic

Game was amazing to say the least, funny story, amazing job system 10x better than 3's job system, took at least 30 hours to beat. Controls nice.

Absolutely flawless port of a fantastic game. FFV is arguably the best one and this port is the best edition of it.

This was the first final fantasy game I ever played back when I had my Gameboy sp. Was confused on how it worked. But 2 hours later I made it to Karnak. I slowly became better at it. I know alot of people like 7 or 9 the best. But 5 will always be my favorite.

What is up with these lazy sprites omg???? The gba ones were good and even the dragon Quest mobile ports have better ones and those are based on the super famicon

This port is phenomenal. Sure, the graphics are a bit different. I don't like the sprites of the characters, but seeing all new spell effects was worth paying the price. Also, people are complaining about a bug in Moogle Village. THERE IS NOT A BUG. You have to wait a good while outside Mogs tree for the sequence to start. Sometimes it's 30 seconds. Sometimes it's 5 minutes. It was like that in the original. I got past it by being *patient* and not constantly leaving and reentering places. This is the first game from Square that I have purchased since FFX, and it's well worth it. I just wish the FFVI port took some pointers...

Thanks for adding cloud save support. Haven't had any issues on SG5 so far. Five stars for keeping the graphics true to the original as opposed to FF4.

FF5 is easily one of the greatest FF of all time. This is a good GBA port. I got the Chocobo, went exploring, and dismounted. This was a game breaking decision that required I start the game over again. On sale the price is worth it.

I tested it without connection, users only need to connect once and it works without (unlike FFVI where users need to do it once with connection every time the device boots up). I'm not a fan of the new art direction, however. It at least fits the tone unlike VI which looks horrendous. Great for tablet with the big resolution though. Also, gotta love the ability to make even the airship Sprint in this version.

The sprites are awful. SE is unconscionably lazy to their legacy and it makes me reticent to enjoy future remakes in this series. Also, jeez, I know I paid the price but this isn't worth it. 1/3 of the price is plenty. Quantity really is greater than quantity in the digital space. Whoever reads this, please tell your bosses about this FACT. Seriously. Look at Steam Sales

☆PLEASE FIX☆ THE BUG IN MOGGLE VILLAGE THAT IS PREVENTING STORYLINE CONVERSATION WITH KRILE FROM TRIGGERING!!! I have been replaying them all on android, really sucks to get stuck halfway into the 5th game.

Square is a greedy company. They require you to log in every time you play. So I guess you're out of luck if you want to play this game where there is no wifi. Don't waste your money.

I finally got around to finishing it, and I only have two complaints. Moving around is a terrible experience, since they did away with grid based movement for players. (NPCs still use the old grid) And the character sprites (both player and NPC) look bad. It's not such that they look bad (outside of everyone leaning forward, almost comically) but they look out of place. The rest of the graphics look great, just a bit below the quality of the FF1, 2, and 4 remakes. (PSP, not DS for FF4, so no chibi 3D)

The best Android port I have played so far from Square-Enix. The dpad still stinks and the redone sprite art is not the greatest or most cohesive, but by this point it's nitpicking. Really enjoyed this version of the game and highly recommend it.

X70%
by X####:

SE have been known for making bad ports. This one is an exception. 5 stars for you, hope you fix those bad ports: FF XIII and XIII-2 for PC, FF VI for android (dpad too big), and even Chrono for android gets.. Well, just see the rating sections for that game!

I, for one, like the new graphics. They aren't better than the original ones, just different. Gameplay is addictive and fun as heck. The story is amazing and you can explore three different worlds. If you like the older ones, this is one you can't miss!

Can we plz get an update? Even without effects, there is a bug making characters sometimes only able to attack themselves. Will give 5 stars when this is corrected. Also...only three summon spells show during battle and I have 4

X70%
by X####:

I've passed FF 1 to 4, and seriously after playing 1h10 of FFV i think i passed more than 50 minutes just passing animations, maybe more than that. This is totally exagerated. Maybe i will revise my review if it changes further. If i wanted to watch animations, i would watch a movie.

X70%
by X####:

Great game, but the whole DRM requiring you to connect to the internet to play ruined it. Not worth the $16 for a 22 year old game that must have access to use.

it is rare to get through a battle on my galaxy s7 without the game crashing. completely unplayable unless it gets fixed. very disappointed since this is the only ff I have never played.

This runs absolutely beautifully on my phone. It's the first time I've played it though, so I have nothing to compare it with, but in itself it's brilliant and is fast becoming one of my favourite Final Fantasies!

X70%

Brutal difficulty later on but one of the most rewarding ff games of the series if you have the skills and time for it, also the new graphics enix have really done the spirit of ff justice alongside the standout characters and soundtrack , pretty much essential for 90s rpg fans

Love the job mechanic in this game where you dictate your set up ff1 started it ff5 took it to the upper echelon:) find me on ff record keepers qcvi or qvci friend code pretty sure its the first one lol

If you like any of the old school FF series you'll love this too. Story is a bit sappy, but was fun job system and game play. Would buy it again!

This is an excellent update to a fine game. I would have given it five stars if I could run the game without a connection (on a flight) and it needs a controller as the onscreen pad isn't great.

Final fantasy 5 made me fall in love with the series all over again. The music in this game is absolutely epic some of the best of the series. If

I wasn't keen on the graphical style for the characters, I prefer the snes and graphics from other iterations but give it a couple of hours and the game play makes you forget about the character sprites, it's the same great ffv but with polished graphics, achievements, features from the gba version and an auto battle feature which comes in use if your grinding job levels. If it's your first time playing ffv it truly is a great game and for others get over the sprites and your in for a great version of it

H70%

Great game. Played the original on Super Famicom and it became one of my favorites as a kid. Now that this has cloud save and Nvidia Shield support, it gets the full five stars.

Had a real blast playing it through. Complex job system is no doubt the biggest highlight. In some ways its the most "western" FF with all its vastness of choices in character building. Something other installments in the series and other JRPGs lack. Very pleasant surprise indeed.
