Decision making doesn't end there... it's tough going in the transfer market too. You'll need to always be 'on your game' as you search for the next superstar, bargain veteran or up and coming youth player. Wheel and deal your way to success with a tense, nail-biting bidding system. It's here where you'll compete with up to six opposition teams for your target player's signature.
You asked for unlockables. Well, we've got unlockables ! Lot's of them. Win matches and you unlock a whole bunch of advanced tactics to choose from. Up against a talented strike force? Put your star defender in the centre of the ultra-defensive 'park the bus' tactic. Pitting your wits against a weak defence in the cup semi-final? Why not go completely 'GUNG HO!' and blitz them with an all out attacking approach. There's long ball, keep the ball, counter-attacking play, defensive, hard tackling, not to mention the infamous, 'chop down star man' tactic... plus tons more to keep you entertained.
Everyone loves a good BONUS. Well we've got loads of those too ! Game time and success is rewarded in 'The manager : a football story'. Score goals, you get a bonus. Best mobile phone game I have played, without shadow of a doubt. Love that it stays true to football and really captures the essence of football. Simple gameplay and evokes exciting emotions. Only tip: Introduce fatigue mechanism to make the game more dynamic forcing us to play fit players. Keep it going!!

Absolutely love this game and think it is a brilliant idea. However playing it recently my game seems to have messed up with the teams in the gold league switching with those in the silver league so now the silver league is better than the gold league. So now I got promoted to the gold league but it is actually worse than the silver league.

Nice game at the start . the fact you have to purchase money to win games in the top league regardless how long you play I hate games that aren't upfront and try to get you hooked then ask for money in order to proceed any further. So if you don't want spend the cash don't bother playing

Very good arcade style management that takes you back to when you could just pick up a game and play instead of over thinking numerous areas. It's not easy so keeps you interested and forces you to claw your way to the top from scratch. Some minor improvements would be welcome but their lack of inclusion doesn't ruin the game. 1) Be able to see team performance post match. Currently you have to exit the match and look up each player individually or catch just before the end. 2) There is no exit game button.

This game is superb. I'm a former tester for fm 2009 for Sega and this idea is awesome would love to trade ideas with pixels and get a online pc game sorted for this. I think it would be a massive success. Theres alot of things that can be changed. Winning youth players through spins. Finding out without Renewing contracts what the players rating is if they have a star. So you can compete with gold. And more competitions like a European one and more cups and winnings. Superb

It's good but it can be better. I think they can make it better by: like for example. When it's oficiall a club is relegated, promoted or champions why don't thry put the R, P or C sign. And why don't they make us choose our own sponsors. If you guys could really do those changes I would really appreciate and give it 5 stars

Awesome game - no frills - chillingly realistic. You need to take your bad decisions on the chin n remedy them to make progress. Pls add intercontinental cup n youth system. Nothing to complain. Too addictive and not at all repetitive. Can you add 2 manager play in one game ? Great stuff

Great game... Addictive & also no Ads.....WOW.... Needs an upgrade like after every game maybe if you could show details of the game... Like goal scorers, injuries and how much progress the players have made.... add more choices of players for the transfer & loan windows! Better if players on market r listed show details... Press next button & gone... take risks for players don't even wanted..... A save game button & options for auto save game Please!!!! :) overall one of the best games i'v ever played...

No loads of useless stats, no bothering with too many modern game factors, this is the old school footy manager. Play to win, win to advance, simple as that. On the top of that the design is gorgeous and somewhat nostalgic. Small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts in the era when most gamers wouldn't come close to anything smaller than Bernabeu altogether with naming rights and accurate sponsor logos on their team shirts... Rant over :) This one is very refreshing. Keep up the fantastic work!

I love how the game is played. But currently stuck in between silver league and league 1. Theres sort of income gap exist. Any income earned is not enough for me to improve my team to challenge in the silver league. Its like i need to make the iap for me to compete in silver league.

One of the best, if not the best football manager game on the market. Haven't gotten bored yet and i love how the developers didnt force me or offer me anything to leave a review. For the first time ever someone waited for me to enjoy a game before jamming a review offer down my throat!!

Only thing that would make it better is if the players had attributes rather than just ratings. I've got a player rated 15 that is scoring more then players two and three times his rating.

Would rate this higher the game its self is a good waste of time but i payed to receive 100 million coins payment went through but i am yet to recieve my coins payed before for 10 million was fine ? As it stands i am missing £2.99 and no coins !!!!! Can this be fixed sooner rather than later please !!!!!

Your players are easily carded for just a foul and the opponent never gets card no matter the amount if foul they commits

Needs commentary also more flexibility like hire a striker coach etc. And how about using coluored dots to represent teams on the field it will spice the game up a bit also the game freezes sometimes fix these I'll give it six stars but i do love your game. ...#booyah

Do like this game but spend 50m on a player and have a player that is worth less but is better. No way of checking players ability when buying them. Please fix this or tell how to check and will get 5 stars

This game is good fun, controls are tricky at first, things like holding down on people to get stats and make captain confused me at first, same as player ratings took me a while to work out. Now I know what I'm up to I'm happy and like the system, not too much to think about, just stick in your team formation and tactics and let them go. Maybe would like to choose primary penalty taker purely for the achievement of 100% penalties scored. Great game though.

Nice small non-online game to have. Each match is short and simple which makes it pretty good. I read some people ask for more feature, disagree. It's good because it's simple which makes everything progresses fast and you don't have to spend hours just pondering what should you do next match. Good game, with no ads, fair rate of trade for cash player but you don't really need to pay, to be honest. Free players can still finish the game because it has a sensible level of difficulty.

Awesome Game, played many football manager games, but this one is different, though the players are not real neither the teams but it is fun to play and very challenging as you move up the leagues. So must download it if u like to do some football management... Happy Gaming!!!

Nice football manager sim. Easy to pick-up and play but tricky to master. All the usual team formations are available but having to earn various tactics is a nice twist. Difficult to escape the lower leagues, as it should be, and tough to stay at the top. Like that team and player names can be changed. A Q+A with the press would be a nice addition. Big plus is NO ads and no pressure to buy in-app items and it's free to play. Go for it and enjoy.
