YAMATAI: Mystey Japan History

The Japanese ancient history is given a mystery.

A clue is left in China.

It is a history book called Sangokushi (三国志), "The Chronicle of the Three Kingdoms.”

In 240, Wei (魏, japanese : Gi), one of the Three Kingdoms sent envoy to Wa (倭), ancient Japan.

There is a record of the envoy in Gishi-Wajinden (魏志倭人伝).

Ancient Japan was ruled by a a shaman queen.
Her name was Himiko (卑弥呼).

Yamatai-Koku (邪馬台国 : The state of Yamatai) was the place where the queen has her capital.

Because there are not enough descriptions in Gishi-Wajinden, long-standing discussions about the location of Yamatai-Koku continue.

The controversy over the location is integral to clarifying the establishment of Japan.

The evidence is not yet conclusive.
