About One Thousand Lies

There is no one who is more sincere with their words...
... than the greatest liar of them all.

Based on a story that should be true, One Thousand Lies tells the tale of Ciarán Endyein, a liar writing the fable of a wolf longing to reach the Sun.

One day, Ciarán starts receiving enigmatic emails from a mysterious sender, turning his everyday life into a mess of a romantic comedy with psychological themes mixed in. What lies beyond the mystery he's been presented with? In the words of Harry H.: "If you want to know the truth, go find it".

This game surpassed my expectations in every way. I loved this more than I thought I could. However, I do feel at the ending the voices of the character's individuality kind of... became meshed, you know? It felt more like a rehearsed speech rather than seperate conversations. Also, since I haven't seen anyone else mention it yet, when they're all at the arcade, there's a typo. I can't remember when exactly, but it was the word 'aren't'. I hope that helps. Okie, bai.

Do you guys had this moment where you stopped reading a book because it's good? You stop because when you finish it, you know that you'll hunger for more and it'll take a long time to sate it. I dunno about you guys because I for sure felt that moment when I started reading this. One Thousand lies/OHT is good. HELLUVA LOT GOOD. It took me weeks to play this short VN because I know that I'll hunger for more. It anguishes me to finish a satisfying story. Nevertheless, I don't regret reading this one bit!

I think this visual novel is great. In my opinion, the dialogue in the game is carried out with brilliant (dark... but praiseworthy... you get the point) humour and the story is built upon fantastic character development. One thing to note, I'd finished 'One Thousand Lies' feeling absolutely disoriented and I shot to the online forums to seek answers. Don't be a dummy like me. Find the 'Truth' ending before you spoil it for yourself. I kinda blew my mind on the way.

One Thousand of them couldn't describe the sheer amount of effort Keinart Lobre and company to procure a masterful novel that hides itself in a shroud of lies, only to reveal its truth through it. A fantastic, memorable gem, containing a potpourri of emotions waiting to be evoked with a simple download!

Now I can't even play at all because everytime I load the game, it goes into a page full of "An exception has occured" and "Couldn't find a place to stop rolling back. Perhaps the script changes in an incompatible way?". It was supposed to be a good game, I'm disappointed with this error

I really loved this story when it had ended a small tear actually came from my eye. You guys did an awesome job and some the morals I learned from it I will never forget. And also please I'm begging you guys to make more

MAKE SURE TO CLICK ON ONE TRUTH AFTER FINISHING THE MAIN STORY! This is the most amazing game I have Ever played. This gave more feels than the best anime out there! This novel is a master piece. Not only because of the awesome story line but also because of the characters, the puns, jokes, music and the moments. In the end it really is true.... Among a 1000 lies there lies one truth. As someone who loves to think about every line I found this vastly entertaining. Plus everything is complete and everything is free. May the developer of this game continue to make such master pieces and make his name famous in the future

Loved it. A lot. I need more... The story achieved perfection as a visual novel, supported by its dazzling art. It lags sometimes, but doesn't really do anything much. Keep it up!

N70%
by N####:

Not really one for static visual novels but this one was brilliant! Hell the story is so good that it could just be a novel and become a best seller. Not to put down your art which is also brilliant. My only problems is that the opening is way too long and kinda sucked me out of it for a while and it is such a long read that I will probably won't want to play again for a month, Maybe even a year. All in all, loved it and now theres a One Thousand Lies shaped hole in my heart.

It was a good enough novel but the ending is so confusing, it's like repetitive slaps to the face. I'M SO CONFUSED WITH THIS ENDING! WHICH WAIFU DO WE EVEN GET IN THE END? LUCE OR CLAIRE AND WHAT ABOUT ZIVA? EVERYTHING FALLS APPART AT GRADUATION!

This VN us probably on top of my list of all the other VN's there. Well the ending is not for everybody it seems, at first i was confused but it slowly sank it my birdbrain everything went in to place because of the one hidden truth. Hey i hope that therw would be more VN coming from you guys considering the effort that you've in this VN the character development, the background, the music, (o god they're so great) the event ccg the technical issues(?) so far i hadn't encountered any of it so far so good ;)

The language is beautiful. The comedy parts are especially funny. Had to hold my laughter in when I was in public. The art, though not the best, was great. The story can get quite confusing. Do not expect one readthrough is enough. All in all, a good VN, great even. Kudos to the staff involved.

Aaannnnddd, finally the wolf reach both the sun and the moon. Oh, it's actually a spoiler but... no, just download it and give this VN (or whatever the name is) a try will ya? ;) It's free anyway :v

I'm quite impressed for the author's imagination for creating such a masterpiece. Beautiful in every single way. The ending might confuse some details but keinart answered them well in steam

I can't recall the last time a novel/book made me laugh so hard. The author does a very good job at not just making natural dialoge between characters, but also placing the reader in the main character's world. Just make sure you read the secret ending, otherwise the story will leave you heartbroken.

It was really good for me. The script was really deep in every concept. The title one thousand lies for me meant was that Ciaran who kept telling about his daily life events are the lies he kept clinging to together with his excuses and untold past. However, the ending got me confused on which he girl he ended up to? I prefer Luce. But he already proposed to Claire which is so confusing, I believe. Still, well done!

Like seriously, i'd give it 4.5/5 since you can't decide the route but the ending is well made. Edit: after i read some theory, i'd still give a straight 5 stars! I'm not really knowledgeable about metaphores, i hope you continue to make these VN bcs es lack of it from playstore.

The ending of OTL was predictable....but OHT was out of the question. I thought of uninstalling it so many times but yet there was a suspense..... And the patience was worth it.....I just loved it..... Feel bad that I can't pay you back for giving me a good piece of literature.

I liked it, but I finished it two days ago, and still can't figure it out. What's the deal with Claire? When Ciaran proposed, she asked 'do you remember now?' Who is she to him? I like Luce. Why did he leave things that way with her? Such abrupt parting. 'We don't have any reason to meet up anymore'. And Ziva. I don't get it, honest. I'd forget it but if I can't figure a story out, my brain doesn't shut up. I want to understand Ciaran. Why did he propose to Claire? All she did was stalk him. Guess I'll go check out the forum someone here mentioned.

Amazing story. I find it funny that you never would find high schoolers anywhere using that kind of language. I find myself a literal thinker so the abstract ending confused me a bit. I had to search up an explanation and it confirmed my suspicions all along. Good story, witty protagonist, great conclusion. Just remember to tap the One Hidden Truth for the full ending.

i loved how the characters art was so good !!!!!! i loved the way the story was made a comedy, romance, and the depth to the story and especially how it was 10 hours long (wish it didnt end) o AND PLZ TELL ME WHO DOES HE END UP BEING WITH [CLAIRE] OR [LUCE] (I hope that it is CLAIRE cuz he propose but it still need to kno because i got confused with the other ending so plz tell me.

I don't mean this in a bad way but I didn't expect much from this at beginning. Long story short, you made me love this game. It's beautifu-- No, wait. It's magnificent. This made me look at memories and at the past in a new perspective. Good job bringing tears to my eyes

The plot is convoluted, but I enjoyed the script. It was clear that the writer was trying to introduce multiple deep concepts to the reader, and did it well in the beginning. But near the end, the characters began losing individuality in the writer's attempt to describe attitudes towards life, deceit, and control. They all began to sound the same, like tools for the writer to convince the reader. And that broke the story for me.

A couple minutes into the game, after getting excited over the amazing grammar I haven't seen in a phone app for a while, I saw it say chapter 1 and heard the music. After that I had to stop playing and come give it five stars right away. Enough said.

I loved it. I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could. I loved it so much I made my first ever review and I made my friends get it. It made me cry. It made me laugh. It made me satisfied. I'm just gonna hold on to it more ok? Just a little bit more...

Great story! I love the characters and the philosophical/psychological themes presented although I was initially disappointed with the first ending. The second ending was much better though. And this could have been more clear with tapping the left side of the screen acutally backtracks the text.

This game was rlly good. It had a great plot and tons of humor to go with it. It was also extremely heart warming and I found I enjoyed this game. I wonder why other games don't have a story line this great. So far this is one of the best games I have ever played. Keep up the good work and O sincerely hope you make more of these.

I was so confused but I'm sobbing right now. This story was so complex and moving. Keinart -- you taught me a really important lesson. For a long time I've been afraid of crying, but now I know that anyone or anything that can't affect me in this way isn't something I care enough about. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for teaching me that. I'll never forget about this app. If there's any way I could support this application or support you in creating another moving story, let me know.

This... This... This THING you made is beautiful beyond description. Finished it in one sitting. Now I feel like my life has lost its meaning, while gaining a thousand more. I am simply awed by this work of art. Thank you, it may have just changed my entire perspective on life itself. God damn.

Lovely story, with plenty to think about. I might need to re-read it some time since I kind of marathonned it... (about 12 hours reading time with plenty of distractions for me). It ran a little slowly at times but I blame renpy for that, since even on good PCs I've found it spins up my fans & drops frames. I also found it a little distasteful how the protagonist complains about political correctness at times, but it wasn't really a big deal.

M70%

Speechless, really. I didn't expect such a thorough examination on the theme or people, and was completely mind blown at the ending. Nothing went the way I wanted it to, and I think that emphasized everything written so much more. Make more things so I can devour them as readily as this, please?

It was one hell of a ride. I loved how one hidden truth blew my mind. I had to go back and read it second time in a row and I enjoyed it even more. My only criticism is that at the end, we dont know his response to Luce. On one hand, its great that its left open to the readers interpretation but on the other its the most important decision he will ever make and it seems a shame that we dont get to see the consequences of his choice. I hope the author is writing other stories because this was amazing.

Such a good VN!! The art, the story.. Just guuuuh... (Mild spoilers) Ziva tho... Was so harsh.. Never seen the twists was crazy!! So technically is there two endings? Based on the thousand lies, or the hidden truth? Is that up for us (the reader) to debate?? Or is there an ending that you (the writer) actually enforce? Either way? Bravo. BRAVO!! I sincerely hope to see another one from ya.

No intention of spoilers, but it made me super ecstatic that my personal ship for Ciaran fell through! They just seemed to speak to each other's souls this whole vn! Gahhh!! So happy. Despite pleasing my inner fan girl, I've never seen art or heard music like this. Exceptionally unique. Astounding job developers!!!

Bless you all, Dear God this game is good. The best mix of comedy and romance, it also teaches you SO MUCH THINGS IN LIFE. You could also learn a LOT of new words. But the story and the "Fin" part was clever and amazing. I'm just... confused by the ending. But I LOVE this game so much... Especially when you uncover the "One Hidden Truth", Amazing. But I expected "VENDETTA" in the ending tho XD

So i just finished it, and man, I'm not sorry i just want to hold and be held for a while. I enjoyed it a lot and I'm irreparably satified with the ending. This is why i wish i got into anime and such more intensely in high school and why i still hang around the medium and japanese style storytelling. Sometimes it is just really good stuff. You can feel resonance with a story not only via empathy with characters but in the story enabling to explore more of what you identify as "you" and your consciousness.

This kinetic novel (not visual since you don't make any decisions) is a masterpiece and i absolutely loved every minute of this. everything was just so on point. The music and art was easily 10/10 as it created the atmosphere whether it be heart touching or whether it be comedic. Now onto the characters, oh where to even begin. The dialogues were very specific and presented a deeper philosophical views and title means so much more. A lot of character development.my first review ever but it fully deserves it
