Community College Hero

I love this game! I played it so many times that I woke up one day to find that I dreamed of being a superhero! I love how the college has rules & polices that you get to read about sending that college vibe, the history was well thought out & how the tests your character takes and training with other students is not too hard. I hope part 2 is longer, we can save more lives, & who ever our character dates proposes LOL!

Incredibly well written. Fleshed out characters. Compelling story. Kept me hooked the whole time. Makes you feel as if you are the MC. Dealing with teachers, how you handle classes, who to befriend or ignore. You even grow attached to certain characters. Story even choked me up at a certain point. I just wish we could raise our stats more than the occasional one point for two areas based on grouping. Also hopefully we actually get our powers in part 2, since the description for pt1 makes u think u start off with them which is not the case. Should change it to skills or techniques for whichever class of hero you choose. Not powers. Can't wait for part 2, hope it comes out this year. Keep up the great work.

It's was by FAR the best Choice of games story I have ever read/played. I laughed so often, loved the game, I can play this game countless times. This is the first hosted game that made me so invested in the story and so emotionally invested in the characters that I actually cried due to an event that happens to a character later in the story. All of the characters are unique and interesting, and most of the superpowers shown are much more original and unique, even some of the more common ones such as the guy with superstrength have unique twists to their powers. This is an experience that I highly recommend, and is worth every single cent I spent on it.

Strong writing really drew me in. The characters and plot were well worth several replays. I'm particularly impressed by the fact that mature topics were introduced and handled in a very true to life way with meaningful responses. My only real complaint is that the ending doesn't wrap things up in a satisfying way. I really want to play the sequel so I can get some resolution.

I loved this story when you first go in you have no idea what's going to happen. You tend to keep your head down at first I noticed but soon you being thinking like a hero not a normal person. I'm waiting for book 2 to come out. Please make it as amazing as this one!

In the first two chapters I was only really slightly interested, but i had some extra money after christmas so i decided to buy the rest of the game. I ended up playing the game to like three in the morning trying to just simply see what was going to happen next. This game took probobly 4 to five hours to beat but that was not including the first two chapters. I was a little disappointed to see that trial by fire was only the first 4 of the 12 part series. However i can't wait to read the rest of it

I've gotta say this game is absolutely incredible. And if I'm right since this game contained issues 1-4 out of 12 that means we have two more to look forward to. I can't wait to see how they build upon the already amazing story structure and character development. If you like the heros rise series then you'd definitely wanna check this out.

Tbh, this is the first time I played a role-playing game like this before and I'm not disappointed. Everything was just absolutely fascinating and great. And well the only problemo was that you have to purchase to play it through but this is so worth it! I fell in love with my character as well with the others, overall a great game already! :) [patiently waiting for the second part to come out]

I've played about a dozen games in the choice of games series. This one right here is the strongest one I've played so far. The writing is top notch, filled with charming character moments, heartbreaking tragedy, and engaging mystery. It makes doing the right thing hard, making you stop and consider how much your willing to sacrifice for the games few stat boosts. And with 14 characters with changing relationship sliders, it really makes each social interaction matter. If you like choose your own adventure games, this is a must read.

CON: Need a checkpoint or manually save function. If you pressed next by accident mid-game, you'll have to start from the beginning to be able to read that page. Same if you chose one choice but decides that you wanted to change that choice...you have to start over. The choices are good, but it happened a few times where I didn't want to chose any of the available choices. Pro: it's well written and makes you want to read what happens next. I'm really enjoying it.

Too bad this is just the first 4 issues. I really can't wait for the sequel. This game is really great. I really like the plot and the interaction between characters. Hopefully the next episode will be as good (or even better), as so many things are still unveiled.

CCH is as stated, a serviceably written title with a mildly interesting collection of characters and a plot that ticks every checkbox in a superpower fantasy. It is the latest in what I am penning as the CoG-lite collection. It doesn't challenge you or throw anything new and unexpected, nor offers any meaningful choices. An inoffensively average title to waste a lunchtime or two on. There are many other CoGs available that are far worthier of your time, unless you have played them and are seriously bored.

At first, this game might throw you off with its quirkiness, but it is well worth the time and investment. The characters are flushed and feel real, the writing is polished and enjoyable, and the story gets better and better the further you delve. This is without a doubt the best "choice of" game I have played to date. I can't wait for the next installment.

Too bad this isn't free. It isn't enough to have only access to 2 chapters for free, you have to have ads too? $4? There are games that let you choose your own path for $1 that have graphics. Sure the story's good even in the first 2 chapters, but $4? It's not worth the price.

This is the best interactive novel I've read since Creatures such as we and that says a lot. It's absolutely addicting and very well written. Anyone who stumbles upon this should read it. Cannot wait for part 2!!!

Look I had a lot of fun with this one but its different from the other hosted games. Number one, I'm not entirely sure that stats do anything. Maybe the writing is so good that I didn't notice but I don't think so. Number two, the story is just part one. Now that's fine but it's been over 18 months since the last update, plenty of time to put out part 2. If there isn't going to be a part two then I'm sort of regretting my purchase because there's no closure. Not bad all together. Definitely one of the best written games as far as dialogue, story dev, and editing. I only found two typos in the entire thing which is awesome for this size of a story. So hopefully Part 2 is around the corner.

I was tricked. Not directly but still, I was indirectly tricked. I thought that if it was FREE on the market that the whole thing would be (such as all the other CYOA games). I was very wrong. You only get a small sample and the rest is about $4. If I wanted to BUY a CYOA then I would've looked for one with a price.

Playing a second time revealed how railroaded it is. I would put this in Second Tier status. Worth it to me because I love CoG but hard to recommend to others.

It was a great book and everything. But it was sorta everywhere and it felt like the writer just wrote what came to mind first. I may be wrong but other then that this is a great book and would recommend to everyone who loves reading.

When does the next part come out because i'll throw more money at it, this was worth every penny and then some, great story plot, great characters and unique power variations. One thing that can be improved is imagery, describe people a bit more than just facial and hair, go with the person figure and eye color, more in depth. Other than that this was awesome

I would love to play the whole game without paying. I would pay if i had money but I dont atleast make a few more chapters free. This game is really interesting and it draws you in with the first 2 chapters

Good game. While playing this game without any super power, the only thing I could think of was Batman, where he outsmarting all his opponents, the only flaw was not having the elements of surprises from his grabbling hook gun. Everything was good except the part where Jacob Pitt scream at Origami upon seeing her when she try to save him. It make no sense because Jacob saw her in that form frequently when she visited him at the hospital.

I love this game! I wasn't sure at the beginning if I wanted to pay for it after the free chapters being that I am rather stingy about spending money on apps but it was soooo worth it!! And now part 2 is in beta! I can't wait for it to be released! :D

So l can play the next episode.Also very sad to see the girl's fate in one of the chapters.

I started this game and thought it was silly fun... So hesitantly I bought it thinking it would be at least a good time killer, then..... Bam! The story got really intense and good! Character development and plot twists like no other! Honestly my favorite game I own!!! Seriously do not judge it by the free trial! This game has an amazing story line! Be prepared to have your heart strings ripped out!

I loved the story that we were put into. It was well crafted, funny and immersive. The only thing that bothers me is that I have to wait for the next part. Seriously when will it come? I've been on the edge of my seat for months waiting for the next piece of this fantastic world that was made.

I had trouble putting it down Haha. Sure the first few free chapters where a bit long and boring but I still bought it and I am so freaking happy I did. Some stuff was hard to follow cos i'm not american I'm australian so some references went straight over my head but I loved it all the same. Trying to picture a cold december was probably the most difficult. XD 10/10 <3

I loved this! Such a great game. All of the characters were amazing. At first I thought that every other student was a potential love interest, depending on what gender your character likes. Which was why I was disappointed that my character was single by the end of my second playthrough because Stoic is not a romance option. It doesn't matter too much because Dirty Girl is bae. Great game, can't wait for part 2.

I thought this game would be boring and short, but its nothing like that. Its amazing and has a really good storyline. It lets you pick exactly who you want to be and what your character is like. Definitely the best game I've played from the app store.

If you enjoy CYOAs, or specifically the Hero Rise series, this is a must buy. The game is enjoyable, memorable, and quite lengthy. Unfortunately, despite a cast of interesting characters and events the game consistently gives you more options with no effect than options with input on any outcome. The majority of choices don't impact an event but rather choose which event you take part in. Add in the barely acceptable multiple choices with no response differences and there are quite a few irritating points.

Great read just wish we could bend the rules more or be even more ruthless. Add a sword or something i personally would of cut off downfalls are if it would save trees arm. Really hope my character can go down a darker path

Overall its fantastic. Although there are one or two typos or poor grammer but other than that sweet game. Im only wondering if ee have to pay for the next issues as well
