ParkPals gives kids a safe, playful way to practice valuable life skills. Kids create colorful, quirky characters and direct them through four different training modules that teach core social skills, such as how to be kind, fair, and safe. Players earn points for making responsible choices that prevent bullying and show good judgment. When kids feel their characters are ready, they take them to the virtual park to put their social-emotional skills to the test. If successful, they’ll stay safe and have fun with their pals. Otherwise, it’s back to practice.

ParkPals can be used as a stand-alone app—ready to play anywhere, anytime—or as an online game to extend learning in classrooms using the Second Step program. Either way, it’s screen time parents and teachers can feel good about that provides kids with a safe way to practice prosocial behavior.
